NBC Drops Damning Info About Hunter and China That Blows up Joe's Lie

May 19, 2022 by Nick Arama Leave a Comment

During the 2020 presidential campaign in one of the debates, Joe Biden claimed that his son never made any money from China.

Joe Biden in 2020 insisted Hunter “has not made money” from China.

— Tommy Pigott (@TommyPigott) May 19, 2022

“My son has not made money in terms of…China,” Joe Biden said.

This was obvious nonsense, given Hunter’s deals with the Chinese, as we’ve reported in the past.

But now, NBC is reporting just how much money Joe Biden was lying about.

From 2013 through 2018 Hunter Biden and his company brought in about $11 million via his roles as an attorney and a board member with a Ukrainian firm accused of bribery and his work with a Chinese businessman now accused of fraud. [….]

Biden made $5.8 million, more than half his total earnings from 2013 to 2018, from two deals with Chinese business interests.

Biden’s most lucrative business relationship was acting as a consultant in a project with a company that belongs to a once-powerful Chinese businessman who is now thought to be detained in his homeland.

According to business records referred to in the Senate report, Hudson West III, a venture funded by the Chinese oil and natural gas company CEFC and its chairman, Ye Jianming, paid $4,790,375.25 to Owasco P.C. over about one year.

Filings with the Washington, D.C., government show Owasco P.C. is controlled by Hunter Biden. [….]

In 2018, Chinese prosecutors accused Ye Jianming of “economic crimes,” including alleged fraud and bribery, and detained him for questioning. He hasn’t been seen in public since.

NBC said it wasn’t clear what he was being paid for. The only deal that they could track — a potential gas deal on Monkey Island in Louisiana — didn’t go through because it didn’t make any sense, they note. So exactly why was Hunter getting this boatload of money? NBC did report that he was spending upwards of $200,000 a month with reckless spending and cash withdrawals.

We previously reported two years ago, that not only did Ye have ties to the Chinese Communist Party and the military, he had business dealings with “Kremlin-controlled companies and Kremlin-aligned businessmen,” and served as “China’s unofficial bridge to Russia on energy.”

In March, we reported about Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) dropping the receipts on the direct line of credit given to Hunter’s firm from CEFC, which Grassley called “effectively an arm of the communist Chinese government direct to Hunter Biden.”

At one point, Hunter also asked for office nameplates where he was renting offices for “The Biden Foundation and Hudson West (CEFC),” with keys for Joe Biden, Jill Biden, Jim Biden, and Gongwen Dong — who he labeled as “Ye CEFC emissary.” But he thereafter left those offices and didn’t go through with setting up such a shared office.

Tony Bobulinksi had also come forward in October 2020 and said that Joe Biden was the “big guy” referred to in the emails about getting a percentage of the joint venture deal they were working on with CEFC.

NBC’s new story also talks about the ‘work’ Hunter Biden did for another associate of Ye’s, Dr. Patrick Ho.

A jury found that Ho, while working for CEFC, bribed or attempted to bribe officials as much as $2 million. He was sentenced to three years in prison in March 2019 and then expelled from the U.S. at the end of his prison term.

Federal court filings and emails on Biden’s hard drive indicate Ho was employed by CEFC and was an associate of Ye. Ho worked on the failed Monkey Island project.

Hudson West wired Biden’s company, Owasco, $1 million from Hudson West III in March 2018 with a memo line for “Dr Patrick Ho Chi Ping Representation,” according to the Senate report and emails on the Biden hard drive.

Biden never made an appearance on the docket in Ho’s case, and there are no emails on his laptop that indicate he was involved in the legal strategy of the case or drafted any legal documents outside his suggestion of whom to use as Ho’s counsel.

So, the question becomes: Why did Joe Biden lie about this? What was he trying to cover up? Did he get a percentage of any of this money? It doesn’t look like Hunter did much for the money, which raises the flag yet again over what he was truly getting paid for, and raises a lot of national security questions. We’ve known Joe lied for two years now, but this does show how much money was hidden behind that lie. So, will NBC now follow up with Joe Biden and ask him why he lied about this?

Rumors of Brain Aneurysm, Possible Coup Haunt Chinese President Xi Jinping

May 13, 2022 by Bob Hoge Leave a Comment

We’ve reported extensively on President Biden’s health woes and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s rumored cancer. Add another major world leader to the list of the afflicted, because several media outlets claim Chinese President Xi Jinping, 68, is suffering from a brain aneurysm. Making his life more difficult are rumors of a possible coup by rivals tired of the nation’s uber-strict, economy-killing COVID lockdowns.

Xi Jinping reportedly suffering from ‘cerebral aneurysm’ https://t.co/SIysIo0O9D pic.twitter.com/TIQuVz8EzN

— The Times Of India (@timesofindia) May 10, 2022

According to New Delhi-based ANI news service, Xi decided against surgery, instead choosing treatment involving traditional Chinese medicines that soften the blood vessels and shrink aneurysms. He was reportedly hospitalized at the end of 2021.

Signs of trouble appeared at far back as 2019, when Xi’s gait was observed to be “unusual with a noticeable limp,” and he reportedly had to have help sitting down.

The International Business Times reports:

Last October, during a speech in Shenzhen to promote China’s first special economic zone, Xi was “seen and heard” coughing a lot. Though the Chinese media was tight-lipped about his health, critics said Xi had “frequently paused to drink water and coughed repeatedly” during the 50-minute speech.

The chatter only grew louder when the COVID hit because he avoided meeting world leaders from the beginning of the pandemic until the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Worse still for the strongman, China’s President since 2013, rumors of an overthrow are circulating, as China has imposed some of the strictest COVID measures in the world. From The Sun:

Instead of learning to live with the virus, the totalitarian regime’s response to the pandemic is to instead aim to have zero cases with tightly shut borders, mass testing and sweeping quarantines.

China’s brutal strategy sees extreme restrictions imposed on towns and cities with just a handful of infections, with entire buildings sealed off even if only one case has been recorded as those who test positive are shipped off to horror quarantine camps.

Xi Jinping, China
Ju Peng/Xinhua via AP

Sounding the alarm is Premier Li Keqiang, who called out China’s “complicated and grave” employment situation caused by the lockdown measures. It’s rare to see a Chinese official at odds with Winnie the Pooh, so tongues are wagging. Roger Garside, former diplomat and author of China Coup: The Great Leap to Freedom, said Xi will be ousted by internal rivals with the winner coming from “within the top ranks” of the Communist Party.

What happens if one of these three leaders becomes incapacitated by illness, or is overthrown in a coup?  For Vlad, fingers are pointing at administration official Dmitry Kovalev, sure to be as humorless as his predecessor; for Xi, it would be some similarly faceless technocrat (or a general, if there’s a coup); for Joe, it would Kamala, almost as witless as POTUS himself.

This doesn’t take into account elections, of course, which could also alter the landscape. Xi next faces the National People’s Congress in November 2022, while Joe Biden, if he runs, faces an uphill prospect in 2024. Putin faces Russian voters in 2024, but if he’s still around, expect it to be a mere formality.

With three of our major world leaders battling age and illness, the world could be a very different place in the new few years.

Sony's Rejection of Chinese Censorship Proves Kicking Communists and Wokeness to the Curb Equals Success

May 6, 2022 by Brandon Morse Leave a Comment

When Sony and Marvel work together to create movies, they’re usually pretty solid. “Spider-Man: No Way Home” was the most perfect example of what happens when Sony gets to take the lead on a film and Marvel gives creative direction, but there’s a reason why this relationship works.

As RedState previously reported, Sony refused to bend the knee to Chinese censors…twice. As a result, China banned the latest Spider-Man outing from the country. The demand from China was that the film was a bit too on the pro-America side with the Statue of Liberty being fitted to hold a giant replica of Captain America’s shield. When China demanded that the scene be changed to something less patriotic, Sony told the censors to take a hike.

(READ: Sony Says No to China, Refuses to Remove Statue of Liberty from Latest Spider-Man Film)

If left to its own devices, Disney would have caved. It does it all the time and even goes so far as to film its movies in the shadow of Chinese concentration camps and thank the Chinese government for the opportunity in the credits. Marvel, owned by Disney, would have likely obeyed the censors, but thankfully Sony still owns Spider-Man and thus has the final say in how the movies go.

I also heard rumors that Disney attempted to inject wokeness into the movie, which Sony also rejected. While these are only rumors I heard floating around, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear they’re true.

As I said in my review, No Way Home is one of the best superhero films ever made, and not due to the fact that it plays on the nostalgia of anyone who enjoyed the Raimi Spider-Man films, or the Andrew Garfield outing. It’s a love letter to the fans, to Spider-Man, to the actors that played him, and it allows it to be what it should be, pure escapism.

(READ: ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Going Gangbusters at the Box Office Proving Non-Woke Movies Are What We Want)

The most important thing about a movie is that it’s good. The second most important thing in this day and age is what makes it good and that’s that the studio makes it responsibly. At this point in our history, a studio has many responsibilities. Not only does it have to make a film with good writing, good acting, good promotional campaigns, and more, it now also has to make sure it avoids a few more hurdles brought on by our current mainstream culture.

It has to resist the urge to inject censorship. That may sound like a common sense thing to do, but today it’s not.

For one, censorship is lucrative. All you have to do is what the Chinese government tells you and you can make millions more than you would without their market. Just inject a little pro-Chinese propaganda here, and a little less pro-America there, and strip out religious references (especially those to Christ), and you can have yourself a flick ready to make millions in the Chinese market. You’ll be much wealthier but you’ll have betrayed your own vision as well as the audience.

But censorship is also a social pressure, especially if you’re working in the entertainment industry. Producers, directors, actors, and more are infected with wokeness. The majority of the coastal entertainment industry are hard-leftists and they are incredibly fascistic in their beliefs. Step out of line with them and you may find yourself never getting work again. All you have to do to get a shot at becoming successful is do and believe everything they tell you, no matter how destructive or non-sensical.

Movie and television studios have become infested with wokeness. Even some gaming studios have had their fair share of it.

As a result, production is likely to contain shoehorned political statements in the form of stories, characters, or lines. This wokeness has sunk its claws so deep into Hollywood that it’s rendered many a film unwatchable. Amazon’s Wheel of Time, Paramount +’s Halo, and Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop are examples of beloved intellectual properties that were ruined by wokeness to the point where would-be fans have tuned out completely. Bebop was canceled after only three weeks due to the rejection by fans. I sense Halo isn’t far behind.

Get woke, go broke.

Sony’s success with No Way Home proved that if you want success then make a good movie. Do not inject politics into the escapism, do not bow to the whims of dictators be they political or social. Focus on the story, the fans, and stay true to the characters, and the chances that you’ll have success go much higher.

My hat is off to Sony, which is rare of me to say, but credit where it’s due. It proved something that needed to be proved and did something that needed to be done. It looked at all the entities demanding it bend the knee and it said “no.”

Sony Says No to China, Refuses to Remove Statue of Liberty from Latest Spider-Man Film

May 2, 2022 by Jerry Wilson Leave a Comment

In a radical departure from the usual international corporate kowtowing to China, Sony decided against releasing its latest installment in the Spider-Man movie series, Spider-Man: No Way Home, there after refusing Chinese requests to delete the Statue of Liberty from the film. According to Puck via National Review:

When Sony refused to delete the statue from the movie, Chinese authorities asked if the company could diminish the statue’s presence. Sony considered the request, the sources told Puck, but ultimately decided against editing the movie and did not release it in China. It’s unclear whether Chinese censors blocked the movie’s release or if Sony preemptively opted against releasing it.

I freely admit the last thing I saw with Spider-Man in it was the 1960s cartoon series, so I’ll take the author’s word that the Statue of Liberty plays a vital role in the movie’s climactic scene. Also, based on the above quote, it’s possible China was the one saying “naah” to the film’s release there and not Sony. However, given that the previous two installments in the current series each made over $100M in China, it makes more sense Sony said uh-uh. If a modification to diminish Lady Libertas’ cameo without wrecking the entire plot was possible, Sony most likely would have chosen that route. $100M is sufficient jingle to put in some OT at the CGI lab.

Whether Sony said no because they weren’t in the mood to re-do a chunk of the film, were sick of Chinese censorship, or both remains a mystery as the studio isn’t talking. The fact remains that there is a high probability a major international corporation told China to get bent. Sure, the movie has made some $1.9B worldwide, so it’s not as if the film flopped without revenue from the Shanghai Bijou. Still, someone told China to go yuan and keep on going.

Given the draconian Internet restrictions China imposes on its serfs … er, citizens, it’s doubtful most Peter Parker partisans there so much as know there is a new Spider-Man movie. Still, one can dream of a scenario in which there is a segment of the Chinese populace sufficiently tech-savvy to get past the censors and find the movie online, watch it, and begin to wonder what kind of government is so petty and paranoid it freaked out over a statue known the world over. From such seeds, dreams of freedom can grow.

So, good on Sony for calling the Chinese bluff and choosing principle over profit. Although I wish that someone at Sony, just to create some excitement, would have said to the Chinese censors, “Sure — give us a few to change statues,” and then brought along cameras to capture the Chinese reaction when the dramatic fight scene took place …

… on the Goddess of Democracy.

Communism Has Been Tried and the Reason It Fails Is Simple

May 2, 2022 by Brandon Morse Leave a Comment

There’s no such thing as a communist.

You may look at China, North Korea, or Portland and say that I’m wrong and that communists absolutely do exist, but there’s a difference between a person who says they’re a communist and a person that is a communist.

I don’t need to go too far into how communism failed every society that adopted it. If it hasn’t fallen already, it’s mired in corruption, starvation, disease, and violence. Citizens of these countries live in fear of their governments as making them angry at you may result in imprisonment, torture, or death. Some countries like North Korea won’t just punish you but your family as well. The backward system also keeps progress from happening to great degrees. Things we consider common household items like toilet paper and bread are hot items on the black market in countries like Venezuela.

As they struggle to stay fed, capitalist countries like America are launching rockets into space and bringing them back down to Earth. Even communist countries that seem successful, like China, are heavily capitalist when dealing with other countries while it rules their own citizens with an iron fist.

People who claim they’re communists say these examples are moot because true communism has never been tried. I’m here to tell you it has, it just can’t be accomplished. It absolutely has been tried, but it didn’t fail because those who attempted to implement didn’t try hard enough, it’s because those who did try it are physically and mentally incapable of pulling it off.

Communism never worked because we’re the wrong species.

Humanity might have the aforementioned space rockets, electric cars, air conditioning, and instant communication from one end of the globe to another but at the end of the day, we’re just smarter apes. We can put on elegant clothing and adopt very gentile societal customs but when all is said and done we cannot break away from our apish nature.

We’re always going to want better than what we have and one of us apes with even half a teaspoon of ambition will strive for it. The male of our species will always make resource acquisition a priority in order to attract better mating opportunities. The female of our species is naturally attracted to competent, fit males in order to raise more secure, healthier offspring.

We are also very tribal, and we will look to make our tribe better than other tribes be it our family or even our favorite sports team.

Moreover, we will fight vigorously to keep what is ours. We’re highly territorial and are known to injure, maim, or kill anyone who encroaches on our territory without permission. While our humanity has created laws to stop us from allowing our apish natures to take the lead on matters, the laws are oftentimes just more steps towards the fulfillment of our apish desires. We wish to punish the wrongdoer, but the law does it for us more fairly…at least most of the time.

Overall, we advanced apes do not have a nature that is compatible with communism, which requires ambition and egocentrism to be put aside in the name of the greater good. It requires us to believe that the only tribe we should concern ourselves with is the state and that any whims it has must be put above our own, including that of our families. Our offspring cannot belong to us but belong to the state, effectively robbing us of one of the greatest parts of ourselves.

Since we apes cannot naturally fulfill these requirements, the state will punish those who break from its requirements with severity, relying on our apish fear of pain and loss to keep us in line. This isn’t even mentioning the fact that the state is run by advanced apes that managed to climb a ladder and create their own tribe that rules all the others.

However, no matter how severe, eventually, cracks begin to form. At some point, a rebellion happens.

If we were hive-minded like ants or bees, then communism would stand a much better chance of working, but we’re not. It’s not possible.
