Last month a Vermont Christian high school forfeited a girls basketball game after they were scheduled to compete against a team that included a boy who identifies as a girl. Now that school has been banned from competing in any other competitions
Townhall reported on the incident that involved a scheduled tournament game against Long Trail School on February 21.
“We withdrew from the tournament because we believe playing against an opponent with a biological male jeopardizes the fairness of the game and the safety of our players,” Vicky Fogg, the head of MVCS, said in a statement.
“Allowing biological males to participate in women’s sports sets a bad precedent for the future of women’s sports in general,” Fogg added.
Reportedly, Long Trail’s team has been advancing in the tournament.
On Monday, the Vermont Principals’ Association, which administrates school sports in the state, announced they have declared MVCS ineligible for further participation in any sporting events or activities under the jurisdiction of the Association.
“The VPA again reiterates its ongoing support of transgender student-athletes as not only a part of building an inclusive community for each student to grow and thrive, but also as a clear expectation by Vermont state law(s) in the Agency of Education Best Practices, and in VPA Policy regarding transgender student athletes.”
The announcement went on to outline the association’s “gender identity” policies, saying they are supported by Vermont law.
“The VPA is committed to providing all students with the opportunity to participate in VPA activities in a manner consistent with their gender identity as is outlined in the Vermont Agency of Education Best Practices For Schools For Transgender And Gender Nonconforming Students. The prohibition against discrimination includes discrimination based on a student’s actual or perceived sex and gender.”
Transgender athletes in women’s sports are becoming a huge discriminatory issue, but not against the boys who demand to be seen as girls. Women are being asked to stay silent or forfeit their right to fair play in the name of a recent trend that is not supported scientifically, medically or historically. The powers making the decisions do not seem concerned with complaints and concerns from young women as they are forced to share locker rooms and trophies with males who male in every way except what they call themselves.
Riley Gaines is a collegiate level champion swimmer who has been speaking out against men invading women’s sports after she tied male-to-female “transgender” swimmer Lia Thomas in NCAA competition last year, but was denied a trophy as the NCAA chose to present Thomas with the trophy instead of Gaines.
The seasoned athlete now advocates for the protection of women’s sports from dangerous gender ideology. In a viral essay, Gaines spoke about how uncomfortable it was to be forced to share a locker room with a straight male who identifies as female.
“I saw a 6’4′ male exposing male parts in our women’s locker room.”
‘To be perfectly clear, the anatomy I and many other women were forced to view, confirms Thomas is a male.’
Gaines said she then asked National Collegiate Athletic Association officials where she could change as I had no intention of undressing in front of a man.
‘They informed me that there were no protections in place for me to change in a space that Thomas did not have access to.
‘To summarize, the NCAA put the onus on the female to avoid undressing in front of a biological man with biological parts who is sexually attracted to women. Let that sink in,” Gaines said.
Recently the World Surf League announced they would be allowing transgender athletes to joint the women’s competition. ‘Soul Surfer’ Bethany Hamilton responded by saying she would withdraw from competition if she is forced to compete against male athletes.
The USA Powerlifting Association was also ordered by a judge to allow male athletes identifying as female into competition. They are currently seeking avenues to appeal the decision.
