Sure as day follows night, if you’re a male and you become successful enough, at some point, you’re going to have someone accuse you of sexual assault or harassment. The movement known as “#MeToo” saw many a woman come out of the woodwork to accuse celebrities of sexual impropriety, and while some of them were absolutely guilty, it was pretty clear that many of them were not.

It was really only a matter of time before Tim Allen received an accusation that he had sexually harassed someone, and sure enough, Pamela Anderson was our Huckleberry.
According to her recent book “Love, Pamela,” the Baywatch star was, at one point, the “Tool Time Girl” on the show “Home Improvement” which starred Allen. According to Anderson, Allen flashed her his…tool one day.
“On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe. He opened his robe and flashed me quickly — completely naked underneath,” she wrote. “He said it was only fair because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably.”
According to USA Today, Allen has denied the accusation via his representative:
In a statement provided to USA TODAY on Sunday by Allen’s representative Marleah Leslie, Allen denied Anderson’s allegation. “No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing,” Allen said in the statement.
Like many “Me Too” accusations, Anderson has been sitting on this story for 32 years and only now decided to come forward with it with a small, easily consumable, and (most importantly) reportable paragraph just in time for her upcoming book. Also true to the “Me Too” recipe, there’s no evidence, just an unprovable claim we’re supposed to believe because not believing women is a modern sin.
Well, certain women.
The question, at this point, isn’t if Allen did it, it’s whether or not Anderson is credible. All signs point to “no.” Given the timing, the medium, and the social atmosphere, Anderson has everything to gain by accusing Allen.
Allen is one of the few Hollywood actors that is openly conservative and Christian, making him one of the more hated people by the left. Any accusation made against him is going to get picked up by leftist reporters with a vendetta against conservative actors, which will then boost awareness of the book, improving sales.
Allen says he didn’t do it and we have more reason to believe him than anyone else, especially the woman feigning outrage over being flashed when being a sex object was her bread and butter. This moment between her and Andy Dick doesn’t seem to be raising any outrage.

But let’s pretend, for just a moment, that the claim is true.
Who cares?
This was 32 years ago. People tend to change tremendously over the course of just a few years. Tack on a few decades to that and the Tim Allen of then is not the Tim Allen of now. Perhaps the humor, creativity, style of dress, habits, and more might be there, but principles and values always change as people gain wisdom and learn from experience.
If Allen wasn’t a principled enough man to keep his Binford power drill in its holster back then, he certainly is now. For this, all that would be necessary is for Allen to make an apology and that would be that.
But as it stands, we have every reason to believe he didn’t and Anderson is just trying to sell books.
