Race Hustler Joy Reid Says Criticizing Alvin Bragg Suggests ‘Black Folks Are Controlled’ by ‘Some Jewish Overseer’

March 31, 2023 by Mike Miller Leave a Comment

MSNBC’s race hustler extraordinaire Joy Reid can connect virtually anything to “racism” with no more than two dots. This time, Reid impressively (ahem) asserted that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis‘ criticism of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over the indictment of former President Donald Trump was a “dog whistle,” used by DeSantis to suggest that black people like Bragg are controlled by Jewish millionaires.

Yes, really.

Let’s first go to DeSantis and his “smoking gun” tweet that proves the Florida governor is obviously “racist,” and thinks wealthy Jewish people control black Americans in prominent positions. [heavy sarc]

The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head.

It is un-American.

The Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct. Yet, now he is stretching the law to target a political opponent.

Florida will not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue with this Soros-backed Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda.

Oh, damn. You just outed yourself, governor. Translation: DeSantis was categorically correct on all counts.

The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head.

It is un-American.

The Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney has consistently bent the law to downgrade felonies and to excuse criminal misconduct. Yet, now he is…

— Ron DeSantis (@GovRonDeSantis) March 30, 2023

Au contraire, according to Reid. As I said at the top, the noted race-baiter went for a twofer, attacking DeSantis for his “racist” comment while also taking a shot at the “evil Jooos” at the same time.

As transcribed by NewsBusters (emphasis, mine):

[M]y editorial comment … is a statement without dignity. The governor of Florida does not know the facts so he cannot talk about questionable facts in this case he doesn’t know them. Only the Grand Jury knows them and this is a sealed indictment.

So he’s making a statement about something he doesn’t know the answer to and throwing out … dog whistles, you know historically, this meme, this idea among the right that African Americans, that black folks who are in positions are controlled by some Jewish overseer who is pulling their strings, that’s what that statement reads like.

And perhaps this governor should maybe read a history book because he might not understand what he is channeling but he’s channeling an era in American history that is one of the most ugly, that he’s probably not allowing to be taught in school. But that idea that this prosecutor, and by the way, it’s not just this prosecutor …

Setting aside the glaring hypocrisy, Joy Reid — of all people —criticizing anyone for “making a statement about something he (or she) doesn’t know the answer to” is beyond rich. Reid regularly makes the most absurd comments about subjects she apparently knows zero about, without batting a race-baiting eye.

She continued:

It was a Grand Jury that looked at facts, that looked at evidence, and this Grand Jury took a vote, which is part of our system.

And so for the governor of one of our largest states and most important states to throw out a miasma of words that are meant to trigger the far right for his political ambitions, that really do sound like that old meme that this black prosecutor must be under the secret control of this, you know, murky Jewish millionaire, that could be 1950, and it is not dignified.

“It is beneath the dignity of a governor,” Reid concluded — as if the word meant a damn thing, in her case.

Jen Psaki’s Performance on Her New MSNBC Show Doesn’t Go Well

March 27, 2023 by Bonchie Leave a Comment

As RedState reported many months prior to the announcement, Jen Psaki now has a new MSNBC show in which she attempts to translate her briefing room rants into viable television. To be frank, it’s not going well.

On Sunday evening, she sat in front of the teleprompter and attacked Ron DeSantis over his views on Ukraine. What followed was a performance you’d expect from a Twitter account that ends in a bunch of numbers. The certainty with which Psaki supposes that which she’s so clearly uncertain of is hilarious.

I’m sorry, is she trying to make a point or guiding an airplane to its gate?

— Zaggs (@Zaggs) March 27, 2023

That above response is right. Someone should really give Psaki lessons on how to use her hands while giving a cable news monologue. Do you see Tucker Carlson flailing about like he’s an inflatable tube balloon? Of course, he doesn’t because that’s distracting. A television set is not the same as giving a public speech behind a podium, and even then, excess arm usage is discouraged.

But that’s not what I’m really pointing out in that video, though. What struck me the most is how unprepared she was to deliver her talking points which so obviously make no sense. Apparently, she thinks it’s hypocritical to believe that Putin is a war criminal while also asserting that America’s borders are more important than Ukraine’s borders?

How are those two things in contention? I’ve been somewhere in the middle regarding the war in Ukraine, believing that Russia is at fault and should be pushed back on but also believing that there should be strategic limits to what support we offer (i.e. it’s not our job to help Ukraine retake areas that have been gone since 2014). In holding that view, I can say Putin is a dictator while at the same time saying American interests are preeminent in any foreign policy discussion. That does not make me a hypocrite. It makes me a person capable of nuanced thought. Psaki should try it sometime.

You can watch the rest of the clip if you dare, but I’d shudder to think what the ratings on this dumpster fire are. I’d assume they aren’t very good given MSNBC’s recent history, and there’s no part of Psaki’s presence that makes me think she’s going to be drawing in new viewers.

The former press secretary’s rise to MSNBC host is yet another example of a beltway acolyte on the far left who gets promoted specifically because of what position they held prior and what identity boxes they check. Past performance doesn’t even factor into these decisions. It’s all about notoriety and toeing the line. MSNBC saw Psaki avoiding questions and giving binder-read answers in press briefings and for some reason thought, “you know, we should give that woman a national television show.”

To be sure, conservative outlets aren’t blameless in this either. I’ve seen plenty of unimpressive people end up on Fox News over the years because they held an administration position or check an identity box. But here’s a crazy idea. How about just hiring hosts based on their ability to actually connect with viewers?

Infamous LARPing MSNBC Hack Who ‘Fought’ in Ukraine Accused of Stolen Valor

March 26, 2023 by Bonchie Leave a Comment

Infamous LARPing MSNBC hack Malcolm Nance is being accused of stolen valor by The New York Times after an extensive report dropped detailing the questionable escapades of numerous American “warfighters” who went to Ukraine.

As RedState reported back in mid-2022, Nance’s claims have rarely matched reality as he’s tried to paint himself as some sort of operator.

Nance: The more I saw of the war going on, the more I thought I’m done talking… So about a month ago I joined the international legion here in Ukraine… pic.twitter.com/zviTHUm2a0

— Acyn (@Acyn) April 18, 2022

In reality, Nance has been cos-playing in safe parts of Ukraine while attempting to exert influence and gain clout. There is no evidence he’s ever fired his rifle in anger while in the country, and his military background is in cryptology, not any form of combat.

Nance has even managed to weave one of his favorite subjects into his “service” in Ukraine. Namely, accusing anyone he doesn’t like of being a Russian agent. That’s a line he used many, many times on MSNBC to attack Donald Trump on those around him.

Malcolm Nance, a former Navy cryptologist and MSNBC commentator, arrived in Ukraine last year and made a plan to bring order and discipline to the Legion. Instead, he became enmeshed in the chaos.

Today, Mr. Nance is involved in a messy, distracting power struggle. Often, that plays out on Twitter, where Mr. Nance taunted one former ally as “fat” and an associate of “a verified con artist.”

He accused a pro-Ukraine fund-raising group of fraud, providing no evidence. After arguing with two Legion administrators, Mr. Nance wrote a “counterintelligence” report trying to get them fired. Central to that report is an accusation that one Legion official, Emese Abigail Fayk, fraudulently tried to buy a house on an Australian reality TV show with money she didn’t have. He labeled her “a potential Russian spy,” offering no evidence. Ms. Fayk denied the accusations and remains with the Legion.

Mr. Nance said that as a member of the Legion with an intelligence background, when he developed concerns, he “felt an obligation to report this to Ukrainian counterintelligence.”

You have to love that Nance is so full of himself that he wrote an “intelligence report,” something he has no authority to do, and was rebuffed by Ukrainian officials. This guy is apparently so deep in his delusion, having been affirmed so many times on social media (his announcement post about going to Ukraine currently has 175,000 likes), that he truly believed he’s not just some faker with no real combat or intelligence experience.

And while Nance is no longer in Ukraine, he’s partnered up with another LARPer to “fund-raise.” Ben Lackey, who was part of the Ukrainian International Legion, has now been exposed by the Pentagon as having lied about his previous military experience. In short, he has none and instead worked for a steakhouse as a waiter.

The dispute goes to the heart of who can be trusted to speak for and raise money for the Legion.

Mr. Nance has left Ukraine but continues fund-raising with a new group of allies. One of them, Ben Lackey, is a former Legion member. He told his fellow volunteers that he was once a Marine and wrote on LinkedIn that he had most recently been an assistant manager at LongHorn Steakhouse. In fact, the Pentagon said he had no military experience (and he worked as a server, the steakhouse said).

To recap, Nance has used the war in Ukraine as a way to bolster his media profile, misleading people and almost certainly doing more harm than good along the way. That MSNBC partially enabled this shouldn’t be forgotten either.

So what was Nance’s response to the Times’ report? He accused the paper of being taken over by Russia, of course. He also had a Freudian slip, proclaiming that he told “tactical mistruths.”

BREAKING: Malcolm Nance’s precreated speech from next week admitting his ‘tactical mistruths’ about Ukraine has just been released pic.twitter.com/E6ho2Q3ysb

— Jack Posobiec 🇺🇸 (@JackPosobiec) March 25, 2023

War is not a game. Not even in the over-exposed information age that is the 21st century. Real people are dying in Ukraine every single day, and anyone that would use that situation for online clout should be roundly condemned and banished from ever being taken seriously again. Nance fits that profile. He’s a con artist who allegedly never had any official role in Ukraine while prancing around in a clean kit pretending to fight the Russians. It’s despicable.
