Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland Thursday and threw out the dictatorial idea that the state should track who’s vaccinated and who’s not. What could go wrong? The state would never use information like that against its own citizens, would it?
His words set off a Battle of the Brits: Nigel Farage, former leader of the Brexit movement and now a broadcaster at GB News, called the remarks “pure evil.”
Let’s start with Blair, who comes across as such a nice, decent gent—but don’t let that fool you:

This is frankly terrifying stuff:
“You need the data,” he said. “You need to know who’s been vaccinated and who hasn’t been.” [Emphasis mine.]
“Some of the vaccines that will come on down the line will be multiple shots so you’ve got to have, for reasons to do with the healthcare more generally, but certainly for a pandemic or for vaccines you’ve got to have a proper digital infrastructure and many countries don’t have that, in fact most countries don’t have that.”
We’ve seen the leaders of many of our allies lose their minds and clamp down on their populations with onerous mandates and lockdowns—countries like New Zealand, Canada, Australia—nations where just a couple of years ago we would have never imagined them taking freedoms away like that.
We obviously had our fair share of COVID dictators here too, from Joe Biden to California Governor Gavin Newsom to Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer to the wannabe tyrant Dr. Anthony Fauci. But at least we have the Constitution in the U.S. (so far).
What’s especially ridiculous about this power grab idea is that it could not be less necessary in January of 2023. COVID is not raging around the world (except in China), and the newest strains have proven to be much less dangerous than the original. The vaccine meanwhile has been revealed to be almost comically ineffective—and potentially even dangerous to some people—and demand for more boosters among the public has fallen off a cliff. So why now?
There is only one reason to collect such information: so you know who to punish. It’s called fascism. Farage was less than amused:

Farage says:
Davos is of course going on at the moment and the great Tony Blair is at Davos. He is rumoured to want now to take over from Klaus Schwab as the boss of it….

So there he is. There’s Tony Blair. He wants us to have multiple shots and for all of it to be digitised so the state knows exactly what our status is. Pure evil, is all I can say.
Farage is correct that there are rumors that Blair wants to take over the forum and become “Mr. Davos.” Seeing as the former PM clearly wants to control the lives of other people, he would seem a perfect fit for the job.
