Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) spoke Tuesday at Ronald Reagan’s Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
He was asked how Californians who love America let their legislators know they want their country back. They live in California, what can they do?
Never, ever let Gavin Newsom anywhere near the White House.
As a resident of California, Sen. Paul is correct, and we must never let Newsom even get beyond the Democrat primary. Newsom has been in politics since 1996. He is a career politician who has endorsed and put District Attorneys in places like Los Angeles (George Gascon), as well as appointed Chesa Boudin, who was recalled by San Francisco voters in 2022. Due to the pro-criminal DAs, we have seen endless crime with zero consequences, and Newsom’s inactions as governor have led to more homelessness and chaos.
As RedState reported, Paul announced that he was “Never Nikki” [Haley], when speaking about the GOP presidential primary. He added that he liked some of what former President Trump had to say, as well as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. But he made it clear that he does not want Haley to be the nominee because that would be bad for the GOP and for the country.

Paul was in California to speak about the origins of the COVID pandemic and Dr. Fauci’s handling of it.
Never again should we let them lock us down. Never again should we be put into this situation. Never again should we allow them to come into our schools, never again should we let them set one foot into our churches. Liberty requires eternal vigilance, I’m going to keep fighting with every breath I have.
Paul has been an outspoken critic of Fauci, the lockdowns, and everything in between when it comes to COVID.

For Californians enduring the lockdowns, the memories are vivid: no church visits, no sports in the park, no coffee outings with loved ones, not even simple grocery trips without adhering to CDC mandates — masks, often multiple, and six feet apart, with limited capacity — 10-15 people in at the same time only.
Paul continued, hitting on an important point, that the Republican Party must get “bigger” and “more diverse” moving forward.
I think that while diversity for diversity’s sake is not a great idea, the idea that we are people from different places, we need more people from different places to be in the party. […]
I’m for strict policy of no illegal immigration. But I think some of the best Americans just got here. We have to be able to say that and be encouraging to have first-generation immigrants in our party. Asian, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, Hispanic. They need to be in our party. And we have to be a bigger party.
He added that he is for more *legal* immigration, not less, adding that he will have zero illegal immigration.
Some people want less legal immigration, I actually want more legal immigration. Legal. Lawful. I’d have zero illegal immigration. But you have to be more welcoming to people. I’m not saying you are not, but we have to do something to become a bigger party and some of that is attitude. I think just simply by saying some of the best Americans just got here… and compliment the work that people do and not assume that everybody is a non-worker and everybody is here to steal from the welfare system. But none of that means I would let anybody in illegally. I would put every one of them back on the other side of the border.
Paul goes more in-depth in the video below about immigration.
