Jordan Peterson Is Suspended from Twitter After 'Deadnaming' Elliot Page

June 30, 2022 by Alex Parker Leave a Comment

These days, speaking one’s thoughts can be treacherous — especially on social media.

Case in point: Clinical psychologist and best-selling author Jordan Peterson has been suspended for a comment concerning transgender actor Elliot Page.

As posted to Twitter by Jordan’s daughter, Mikhaila, on June 22nd, the Canadian intellectual tweeted the following remark about former Ellen now-Elliot:

“Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician.”

A screenshot provided by Mikhaila indicates Jordan violated the Bluebird’s rules against “hateful conduct”:

You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.

“We have determined that this account violated the Twitter Rules,” the explanation reads.

As a result, we’ve temporarily limited some of your account features. While in this state…you’re limited to only sending Direct Messages… Your account will be restored to full functionality in: 12 hours and 0 minutes.

You can start your countdown and continue to Twitter once you delete the content that violates our rules.

Wow. @jordanbpeterson got a twitter strike. No more twitter until he deletes the tweet. Definitely not a free speech platform at the moment @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/YuBTwnjz5W

— Mikhaila Peterson (@MikhailaFuller) June 29, 2022

There’s a reason they call it the “thought police.” Such a characterization was once ubiquitously used as a figure of speech. But these days, we’re boldly regulated regarding the notions we express.

And amid our modern monitoring, words such as “hate” have been wholly redefined. What is supposed to indicate an extreme emotion now means the side of an issue opposed by a regulating body’s singular intolerant point of view.

Somehow, we’ve taken a space larger than we once could have imagined — the worldwide web — and turned it into a space smaller than existed before we ever went online. Throughout America’s history, people sat in rooms and disagreed. Now we forego those personal encounters so we can stare into a screen and be prohibited from dissent.

Our idea of what’s allowable has so transformed that when Elon Musk proposed buying Twitter, TV’s talking heads decried a “Wild West” — where the chaos of free expression might nightmarishly reign:

Jen Psaki Decries the ‘Harm’ and ‘Misinformation’ of Free Twitter

MSNBC Warns That Free Speech On Twitter Would Be a ‘Danger’ to Free Speech — and It Perfectly Captures Where We Are

Former Clinton Official Calls Elon’s Free-Speech Vision the ‘Dream of Every Dictator’

Of course, it isn’t just happening online or on television:

Academics Fear the ‘Hate’ of Free Speech as a Liberated Twitter Looms

Host of School’s Free Speech Event Issues Language Guide Prohibiting ‘Man,’ ‘Woman,’ and ‘Mother’

Once Elon has taken Twitter’s reigns, will a comment such as Jordan’s be permitted?

Mikhaila posited to the billionaire, “Definitely not a free speech platform at the moment.”

Jordan’s managed multiple social media controversies as of late. In May, he asserted that plus-size Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Yumi Nu was “not beautiful”:

Sorry. Not beautiful. And no amount of authoritarian tolerance is going to change that. https://t.co/rOASeeQvee

— Dr Jordan B Peterson (@jordanbpeterson) May 16, 2022

Earlier this month, he offered something similar about the NFL’s first transgender cheerleader:

Not beautiful either. Happy now Twitter trolls?

— Dr Jordan B Peterson (@jordanbpeterson) June 6, 2022

Concerning beauty, the professor did give a potential “thumbs up” to Instagram model Paige Spiranac.

Ok. She might be beautiful 🙂 https://t.co/bz84d0uNti

— Dr Jordan B Peterson (@jordanbpeterson) June 16, 2022

RedState Deputy Managing Editor Brandon Morse had thoughts:

Jordan Peterson can’t release a tweet without causing the left to fly into some sort of rage, but that’s what happens when you don’t toe the politically correct line set by the outrage mob. Peterson seems to be having fun saying and doing the things that make the left furious, but when you have as much hate coming at you as he does, you might as well do what you can to make it fun.

“Spiranac is beautiful and thousands of years of this being confirmed by our race isn’t going to suddenly stop because the leftist mob said it should,” Brandon wrote.

What will thousands of years of constant speech suppression stop? How about a hundred years? Or twenty-five? We’re quickly on our way to finding out.

Incontinent Ex-Trans Man Sues Over Penis Removal, Predicts an 'Avalanche' of Court Cases

June 28, 2022 by Alex Parker Leave a Comment

Where transgenderism is concerned, the West is in uncharted territory. The metaphor could apply to a host of implements, including puberty blockers and “top” and “bottom” surgeries.

Related to the latter, a UK man is suing the National Health Service.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Newcastle resident Ritchie Herron has lived tortuously for four years due to the impact of “gender affirmation” procedures.

Battling mental health issues – and after decades of suppressing his homosexuality – Ritchie, 35, had thought the answer was to become a woman.

In his 20s, Ritchie “stumbled across the idea of gender dysphoria in an internet chatroom. Older men on the forum convinced the vulnerable young man he ‘must be trans.’”

In 2012, the man saw an affirming psychologist. Then it was on to the Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust’s Northern Region Gender Dysphoria Service.

Due to a long wait time, Ritchie sought counsel at a private gender clinic in 2014. After only two 30-minute appointments, he was diagnosed with “transsexualism.”

A psychiatrist recommended he take medication to block his testosterone production – the first step towards gender reassignment.

A family member had accompanied him to the clinic and tried to persuade the doctor that Ritchie wasn’t in an appropriate state of mind.

Ritchie says: “She told the doctor I was on a high dose of antidepressants and had lots of complex issues, and yet they were referring me for gender treatment.”

At 26, he explains, he went along with the medical recommendations because he was “very vulnerable.”

Right started calling himself “Abby” and wearing women’s clothes. Due to his testosterone suppression, he began developing breasts.

By March 2015, he was attending appointments at the NHS gender clinic in Newcastle.

“The first question you get asked there is, ‘Do you want genital surgery?’” he says. “I wasn’t sure. But I’d heard you could get therapy if you were on the waiting list for surgery, so I said yes.”

Surgery came soon after:

Less than six months later, in July 2015, Ritchie received a referral for vaginoplasty surgery. Ritchie says he told the psychiatrist he was unsure and turned it down, but continued to receive therapy.

In 2017, he was given another referral for surgery, to be performed at the Nuffield Health hospital in Brighton but paid for by the NHS. Ritchie refused it again – but says he was told that if he did not accept the referral he would be discharged from the service.

Though he was becoming suicidal, he continued down a permanent path:

At 10am on May 23, 2018, Ritchie was wheeled into the operating theatre. “I didn’t even see the surgeon,” he says. “I was very much in the mindset of ‘I’m here now, there’s no stopping it even if I wanted to.’”

The irreversible operation involves removing the penis and testicles, and reforming the area to resemble female genitals.

Fast-forward to debilitating dysfunction:

It takes him ten minutes to empty his bladder, a process as painful as it is slow. Any sex drive is long gone. In fact, he says, his crotch is numb, “shell-shocked” from the damage done to him under the apparent care of the NHS.

“Numb” rather sums up Ritchie’s whole demeanor as he struggles to process what has happened to him. Today he reveals – in an exclusive interview – that he is the man preparing legal action against the NHS over an operation that removed his genitals.

Ritchie claims he was fast-tracked into making “the biggest mistake of [his] life.” He’s been “left infertile, incontinent and with ongoing pain.”

He asserts the NHS clinic took no account of his mental health issues, which might’ve led him to believe he was transgender. Furthermore, he wasn’t properly warned of the medical risks of his procedures.

Many people are following in Ritchie’s footsteps:

His account raises serious questions about the safeguards in place at NHS gender clinics, which have seen a 1,700 percent rise in referrals over the past ten years, accounted for mainly by children and young adults.

Support for transgenderism has become ubiquitous — from the edge of society’s left wing to the airwaves of Fox News:

Fox News ‘Pride Month’ Segment Praises the Gender Transition of a Five-Year-Old and Rewards Stage Parents
https://t.co/bvK8deFHEL

— RedState (@RedState) June 12, 2022

Clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson isn’t onboard with the counseling field’s move toward immediate affirmation. He recently explained the role of a therapist in the documentary What Is a Woman?

“There’s no such thing as a gender-affirming therapist. It’s a contradiction in terms. Because you don’t affirm if you’re a therapist. It’s not your business to affirm. You come to see me because there’s something wrong. … Am I going to affirm what you think? No, it’s not up to me to affirm it. You don’t get a casual pat on the back from a therapist for your pre-existing axiomatic conclusions. That’s not therapy; that’s a rubber stamp.”

Given our medically-fueled gender revolution, what does the future hold? Might a new generation eventually have strong thoughts — and, possibly, court filings — about the paths upon which they were placed? It doesn’t seem impossible.

“This is an avalanche waiting to happen,” he told the Mail. “Transition is now being sold to people on a mass scale.”

29-Year-Old Biological Male Bests 13-Year-Old Girl in Women's Skateboarding Tournament

June 27, 2022 by Alex Parker Leave a Comment

Transgenderism in sports is a hot topic, and the skateboarding community recently felt some heat.

As relayed by Fox News, this weekend saw the women’s division finals of The Boardr Open in New York. Among the top six finishes were a 10-year-old, a 12-year-old, and a 29-year-old biological male.

Leading the pack was Ricci Tres.

In a November interview, Ricci talked of transformation:

Here’s the skater qualifying for the Red Bull SOLUS, a men’s and women’s competition in California:

Ricci made the SOLUS. And on Saturday, the skater took The Boardr Open — pocketing the women’s division’s $500 prize.
Of the top half-dozen, two-thirds were 16 years old or younger.

Second place — and $250 — went to 13-year-old Shiloh Catori, who currently resides at 133rd in the Boardr Global Ranks.

Ricci — who, according to the Daily Mail, is a “divorced, ex-Navy father-of-three” — ranks 838th.

As noted by Fox, not everyone was impressed:

Many on social media excoriated the tournament for the biological and age disparities between the competitors, including female skateboarder Taylor Silverman, who spoke out in May after having repeatedly placed second in skateboarding contests against biological males.

“I have been in three different contests with trans women, two of which I placed second,” Silverman wrote in an Instagram post on May 17, which met with a barrage of negative comments. She went on to explain that the transgender competitor she lost against in a Redbull Cornerstone skate event took home $1,000 in qualifiers, $3,000 in finals and $1,000 in best trick.

As you know, the world of athletics has entered uncharted territory. For a few years now, arenas of sport have let males identifying as women compete with females. Testosterone testing has varied from sport to sport. But some fields are beginning to tighten rules in ways that will shut out previously-allowed competitors:

Transgender Swimmer Lia Thomas’ Professional Career Hits a Brick Wall After Major Ruling

Another Sport Bans Biological Males Like Lia Thomas From Women’s Athletics

Additionally, states such as Alabama, Louisiana, and South Dakota have banned biological males from girls’ athletics.

But certainly, not all sports are following that line:

Report: Soccer May Eliminate All Testosterone Requirements for Transgender Athletes

Back to New York’s Boardr Open, many would argue that a 29-year-old — no matter their sex — would have an advantage, at least in experience, over kids. Christina Pushaw — spokeswoman for Gov. Ron DeSantis — would be one of those. On social media, she asked why someone Ricci’s age was “competing against children.”

— Taylor Silverman (@tmsilverman) June 25, 2022

Podcaster Tim Pool pointed out that males have “higher centers of gravity, granting advantages that cannot be removed with [hormone replacement therapy].”

Males in skateboarding have higher centers of gravity granting advantages that cannot be removed with hrt

That plus the Q angle differences

So it’s unfair to female athletes

Your semantics are not relevant

— Tim Pool (@Timcast) May 18, 2022

Speaking of, The Post Millennial reports that Ricci recently failed to qualify for a tournament:

Tres submitted a virtual run for the USA National Skateboarding Championships, but was unable to meet the deadline for submitting hormone level testing. Later, Tres’ testosterone levels were deemed to be “much higher” than the levels required two compete in the women’s division.

In an interview with USA Skateboarding around this time, Tres revealed that the athlete was around 190 units over the required testosterone levels for International Olympic Committee Standards.

The world of sports is in flux, in a way it’s never been before. What’s around the corner? It’s impossible to tell. But even though we’re dealing with all-new phenomena, it reinforces an old idea: The battle of the sexes is far from over. The same goes, evidently, for the battle of the ages.

A New Generation of Fetishists Find the Fintastic World of 'Mermaiding'

June 26, 2022 by Alex Parker Leave a Comment

Do you long to be a lady in the water? Do you measure coconuts by the cup size? Do you believe you’ve had a bevy of brushes with crabs?

If so, you may be bound to become a Little Mermaid. Or a big one.

And you can.

As reported by The Associated Press, “mermaiding” subculture is making a monstrous splash.

The outlet profiles Queen Pangke Tabora, who’s made the transition to life under the sea. In 2019, the former insurance company employee put on a pair of fins and was hooked.

[I]t marked the beginning of her immersion into a watery world where she would find acceptance.

It’s a pressure-free province — so long as you don’t overly descend and implode your skull.

[Queen Pangke describes] the experience of gliding under water, half-human and half-fish, as “meditation in motion.” … “The world outside is really noisy, and you will find peace under water.”

It’s not the first time the aquatic creature has transformed:

For the transgender Filipina woman approaching middle age, seeing her legs encased in vibrant scaly-looking neoprene…was the realization of a childhood dream.

Portrait of life on the rocks:

“The feeling was mermai-zing,” [Queen Pangke] said one recent morning while lounging in a fiery red tail on a rocky beach south of Manila, where she now teaches mermaiding and freediving full-time.

Mermaiding emits a siren song of seduction:

Across the world, there are thousands more merfolk like her — at its simplest, humans of all shapes, genders and backgrounds who enjoy dressing up as mermaids. In recent years, a growing number have gleefully flocked to mermaid conventions and competitions, formed local groups called “pods,” launched mermaid magazines and poured their savings into a multimillion-dollar mermaid tail industry.

Despite such colossal commerce, the initial cost of conversion has come down:

When mermaiding first started to catch on, most tails for sale were custom-made silicone creations that weigh up to 23 kilograms (50 pounds), cost upwards of $6,000 and take a surprising amount of time and lubricant to wrestle into. But over the past few years, the increasing availability of cheaper, lighter fabric options — some of which sell for less than $100 — has transformed the mermaiding community from an exclusive enclave for privileged professionals into an achievable dream for the wider public.

There’s particular appeal for those who think cisgenderism is all wet:

It is…inspiring to (transgender) merfolk like Che Monique, the Washington, D.C.-based founder of the Society of Fat Mermaids, which promotes body-positive mermaiding.

“I’m a 300-pound Black mermaid in America over 35, and hopefully that tells somebody they can do whatever they want to do,” says Monique, whose group sells shirts that read ‘Fat mermaids make waves’ and ‘Gender is fluid under the sea.’

In other animal areas, transspeciesism is trending, too. For some, a barn beats a bay any day:

But for those who can’t definned defecating in a field, a bream-like back-end suits them fine.

Speaking of things below, could the community be up to its gills in kink? For those who know how guppies are made, surely spawning isn’t out of the question. Yet for many, it’s about identity — pre-mermaiding, life was a fish-out-of-water story:

Mermaid Nymphia grew up as a male-presenting child of the 1990s, and gender norms dashed her dream of dressing up as her idol, Ariel. Years later, as an adult transgender woman, her dream was finally realized when her mother helped her sew her first mermaid costume.

…

“With transgender and nonbinary merfolk, they often connect with that mentality where you’re not quite sure which world you belong in, but you’re able to be this alluring creature of the sea and live as your most authentic self,” Nymphia says. “I know a lot of people who have found their gender identity, myself included, through mermaiding.”

So if you ache to be a queen or a nymph, an ocean of possibilities awaits. You can become a reefer, or at least slither through the depths as if you’ve smoked some.

Perhaps it’s time to evolve…

“As transgender, it’s a transition,” [Queen Pangke] says. “It’s like in the sea, everything evolves.”

Everything, indeed.

Miss France Welcomes Biological Male Contestant, 'a Candidate Like the Others'

June 25, 2022 by Alex Parker Leave a Comment

At the Miss France pageant, they’re running an inclusive operation. Therefore, on Thursday, the organization brought notable news.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, the Miss Ile-de-France Committee announced that Andrea Furet will compete for the title of Miss France 2023.

Established Andrea’s details are distinguished:

Furet, a biological man, is fresh off a successful run at Miss Paris, winning first runner-up.

Andrea wouldn’t have been allowed entrance, but a lawsuit was filed in October of last year.

Feminist group Osez le Feminisme — which included three unsuccessful pageant candidates — had accused Miss France of wrongful requirements. The bunch claimed established stipulations made for “a negative and retrograde impact on the whole of society.”

Regulations were revamped, paving Andrea’s path:

The national pageant changed its rules this past June, allowing women taller than 5 feet, 5 inches, mothers, smokers, and even those with tattoos to compete. Previously, the height requirement was what held Furet back from competing.

Speaking to TF1 Info recently, Andrea celebrated mopping the floor with every woman but one at Miss Paris:

“I always wanted to do it, and when I realized it was possible, I did it. I don’t regret it! Being first runner-up is crazy. It proves that people are ready for change, are ready for inclusiveness and living together. It’s very nice. This title is really synonymous with victory.”

Biological males have made quite the splash in arenas previously reserved for bodies with vaginas:

New Victoria’s Secret Underwear Angel is Transgendered

Biological Male Identifying as Woman Wins Miss Nevada

The Emmys Nominates Its First Biological Male for Best ‘Lead Actress’

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Features Its First Transgender Model, Who ‘Embodies the Well-Rounded Woman’

Sexually speaking, it appears female-only spaces are going the way of the dodo bird — including restrooms and locker rooms. Some sports, however, are beginning to bar biological males from participation.

Still, in the beauty world, progress has been transformative:

Gigi Gorgeous Is a Revlon Ambassador Now and We’re So Excited For… https://t.co/7AzrZdCMk0 via @Allure_Magazine pic.twitter.com/GnO9VSHPVs

— 📰The_News_DIVA📰 (@The_News_DIVA) February 10, 2017

Laure Mattioli — president of the Miss Ile-de-France committee — made clear there’s no difference between Andrea Furet and the other girls:

“For us, Andrea is a candidate like the others. This new rule does not change the treatment of candidates. She is female on her marital status. That’s all that matters. I do not enter the privacy of girls.”

If Andrea wins Miss France, it’s on to the Miss Universe pageant. That program’s already hosted transgenderism — courtesy of Angela Ponce, Miss Spain 2018. Hopefully, 2023’s broadcast will have regained some of the show’s former sizzle — see “Newly Transgender-Friendly Miss Universe Pageant Bombs.”

Beauty pageants — in which, puzzlingly, winners cry while losers smile — are really branching out. Not only can they dazzle you with vaseline-teethed onstage statues of various identities; they’re also amped to intervene when you attempt inappropriate tampon talk:

You’ve wondered, and now you know.
