Furious Democrats Take Biden White House to Task Over Border Crisis

September 27, 2023 by Jeff Charles Leave a Comment

President Joe Biden has been constantly criticized by Republicans for his failure to address the worsening crisis at the southern border. But recently, members of his own party have turned on him over the issue. A growing chorus of Democratic voices has risen up to take the White House to task amid a constant influx of illegal immigrants and asylum seekers showing up at the southern border to gain entry into the United States.

The problem has created a tricky situation for those on the left, as the 2024 elections loom on the horizon.

Democratic strongholds are struggling to keep helping the surge of migrants in their cities and states — and it’s sparking anxiety in the party about potential fallout heading into the 2024 election cycle.

New York Mayor Eric Adams’ tussle with the White House over an influx of migrants from red states has famously soured his relationship with President Joe Biden. But he’s far from the only blue state official pushing back, as public pressure and budget concerns rise in Illinois, Massachusetts and beyond.

Mayor Adams’ feud with the White House over the immigration issue has been ongoing as his city is one of several bearing the brunt of the border crisis. Last week, he announced that he had spoken with President Biden and communicated to him the severity of the situation. “You know, we need an emergency declaration, we need to be properly funded, we need a decompression strategy not only in the city but throughout the state. This is just wrong,” he said.

The same scenario is playing out in cities like Chicago, as Illinois and other blue states like Massachusetts are also grappling with public pressure and budgetary constraints brought about by the influx of illegal immigrants and asylum seekers.

“You’re hearing sentiments that are not dissimilar from what you would hear at [Donald] Trump rallies where asylum-seekers are referred to as illegals,” Chicago Alderperson Andre Vasquez, who heads the Chicago City Council’s Committee on Immigrant and Refugee Rights, said in an interview. “There are people who are saying ‘the Democratic Party isn’t doing anything for us’ and ‘look at what we’re stuck with.’”

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson in August said that the Windy City “cannot go on welcoming new arrivals safely and capably without significant support and immigration policy changes.”

Democrats are well aware of the reality that American voters want to see progress on solving the border crisis, which has persisted since shortly after President Biden took office. Indeed, the majority of Americans support reforming the nation’s immigration system even if they have differing views on what this would look like.

The White House has made moves to alleviate pressure on major cities by allowing Venezuelans to apply for work permits. However, Democratic leaders in these states insist that more assistance is needed because their communities lack the resources necessary to provide housing, healthcare, and education. Indeed, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey recently declared an emergency because of the state’s challenges in furnishing shelter and services to thousands of homeless families, many of whom are asylum seekers.

The central issue for Democrats is the apparent lack of support coming from the federal government, which has continually failed to employ solutions to stem the flow of people showing up at the southern border. This would explain why more left-leaning politicians are now speaking out against the administration publicly. As the border crisis continues to worsen, it will only deepen the fault lines within the party which will lead to even more Democratic leaders criticizing the White House. But even more than that, if the situation does not improve soon, it could have severe ramifications for the Democratic Party in the upcoming election.

Biden’s German Shepherd Strikes Again, Bites 11th Secret Service Agent

September 26, 2023 by Jeff Charles Leave a Comment

It’s not always safe to be a Secret Service agent. One can possibly be subjected to violence and potentially facing unexpected assailants. But when it comes to agents serving in the White House, the threat appears to take on a more canine persuasion. That’s right, folks, one of President Joe Biden’s dogs has bitten a Secret Service agent – again.

Biden’s German Shepherd, Commander, has made headlines once again for taking a bite out of an unsuspecting Secret Service agent.

President Joe Biden’s younger dog, Commander, bit another US Secret Service agent at the White House Monday evening, CNN has learned, the 11th known biting incident involving the 2-year-old German Shepherd.

“Yesterday around 8 p.m., a Secret Service Uniformed Division police officer came in contact with a First Family pet and was bitten. The officer was treated by medical personnel on complex,” USSS chief of communications Anthony Guglielmi told CNN in a statement.

The injured officer spoke with Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle on Tuesday and is doing OK, Guglielmi said.

Commander has been involved in at least 11 biting incidents at the White House and in Delaware, according to CNN reporting and US Secret Service email correspondence, including a November 2022 incident where an officer was hospitalized after the dog clamped down on their arms and thighs.

The first family’s office did not respond to CNN’s inquiry about the status of the dog’s training and safety measures. Nevertheless, it is not difficult to see that Biden’s dog problem should be rectified immediately – but probably won’t be.

Commander has a long and storied history of biting humans. In November 2022, he hospitalized an agent after viciously attacking him. In July, he attacked another Secret Service agent.

The Biden family dog, Commander Biden, has bitten numerous Secret Service agents. But the White House is excusing the repeated “aggressive behavior.”

Newly released emails show that Secret Service officials have documented at least 10 incidents of “aggressive behavior” and biting by the first dog, Commander, a 2-year-old German Shepherd. In at least one incident, a Secret Service agent was sent to the hospital after Commander bit him multiple times.

In at least six incidents before this, Commander’s bites have required medical attention. Yet, the Bidens don’t seem concerned about keeping other people in harm’s way as long as they can have their beloved pooch in the White House.

Major, the Bidens’ other dog, has also made headlines for going after Secret Service agents. In 2021, he attacked another Secret Service member after the White House indicated that he had been sent home to Delaware for biting others. In fact, a spokesperson for Jill Biden blamed the agent for somehow placing his body in between the dog’s jaws.

First Lady Jill Biden’s press secretary Michael de Rosa confirmed the “nip” in a statement to Fox News. “Major is still adjusting to his new surroundings and he nipped someone while on a walk. Out of an abundance of caution, the individual was seen by WHMU and then returned to work without injury.”

The encounter took place on the White House South Lawn Monday. CNN first reported the bite, adding that the employee worked for the National Park Service.

Of course, this is only the latest incident in which one of Biden’s dogs attacked a human. Unfortunately, it appears the president plans to handle this issue the same way he has dealt with the border crisis and inflation.

Biden’s Bizarre Pacific Island Forum Remarks Show Just How Out of It He Truly Is

September 26, 2023 by Nick Arama Leave a Comment

I often wonder what the rest of the world thinks about Joe Biden when its leaders are meeting with him. We see clips of the meetings and hear the formal remarks. But there’s also the little interactions and the meetings behind the scenes that we don’t see. If Biden is so bad in the clips we do see, how bad are those things behind the scenes? It’s part of the reason that the polls are now so terrible for Biden, with former President Donald Trump now leading, and many Americans giving Biden historically bad numbers.

Joe Biden had a Pacific Islands Forum meeting on Monday and it was just a mess. How do you get what you’re saying wrong when you’re directly reading it from a prepared speech? I don’t know, but somehow Biden manages to do it while embarrassing himself and us in the process.

Biden started badly, saying that they’d signed “a new economic agreement with Micronesia and Puala.” The country he was referring to is Palau. If he can’t even get the name of the country he’s entering an agreement with straight, what must they think of us?

Then he made a bizarre comment about the prime minister from the Cook Islands, Mark Brown.

BIDEN: “That’s why the United States is formally establishing diplomatic relations with the Cook Islands — and the real reason is we’re both from Baltimore” pic.twitter.com/qQhysxQqkt

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 25, 2023

“And that’s why the United States is formally establishing diplomatic relations with the Cook Islands,” Biden said.  “And the real reason is: We’re both from Baltimore.” People laughed uneasily and the Cook Islands leader looked baffled.  “That’s a long story, but — but, all kidding aside, the Cook Islands and Niue,” Biden finished, not explaining what he was saying

Biden is from Scranton and Delaware. Brown was born in the Cook Islands and went to school in New Zealand. He doesn’t appear to have any connection to Baltimore. It’s also not clear why that would be a reason for entering diplomatic relations even if it were true. But that’s Joe Biden, the Black Puerto Rican civil rights activist truck driver.

Biden couldn’t even get the name of the agreement right or the amount of money it involved.

BIDEN: “We’re working with Congress to invest $40 billion in our Pacific Island’s Infrastructure Initiative. We call it the P G, P I— anyway, doesn’t matter what we call it, but that’s what it is” pic.twitter.com/uf3ol2uaoH

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 25, 2023

“We’re working with Congress to invest $40 billion in our Pacific Island’s Infrastructure Initiative. We call it the P G, P I— anyway, doesn’t matter what we call it, but that’s what it is,” Biden offered, just giving up when he couldn’t get it right.  It also was 40 million, not 40 billion as Biden said.

When he finished reading his prepared script, he got confused about what was supposed to happen next. He had to ask Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

“I think I’m now turning this over to the Cook Islands or am I turning it to you?” Biden asks his secretary of state.

“Mr. President, uhh, Mr. Prime Minister, the floor is yours” pic.twitter.com/kLGYm7v2T9

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 25, 2023

“I think I’m now turning this over to the Cook Islands or am I turning it to you?” Biden said.  Then he botched Brown’s title, “Mr. President, uhh, Mr. Prime Minister, the floor is yours”

Biden then finished off the meeting with a bizarre comment during the leader line-up photo op about this trip to Detroit to the UAW strike.

“What’s your message to car companies before you go to Detroit?”

BIDEN (confused): “Stay under the speed limit” pic.twitter.com/o6g5DohBFk

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 25, 2023

He has no idea what they are asking him and why. All he managed to digest was cars, so he came out with that weird comment.

If that wasn’t embarrassing enough, he capped off the day with this weird comment during an HBCU meeting saying he heard things were said on the “internet,” sounding like he was about 100 years old.

BIDEN (mumbling): “Folks have the audacity to say I cut funding for— I saw, heard something on one of the, uh, on the internet, that I cut funding for HBCUs, but that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Then again, a lot on the internet.” pic.twitter.com/Mz9dJmlvjx

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 26, 2023

This is the Democrats’ candidate. They put all of us in danger by having this guy in office and running again.

Tense Moments for Kamala Harris as Joe Biden Bumbles Through Rambling Gun Control Speech

September 22, 2023 by Sister Toldjah Leave a Comment

If there’s one thing both Joe Biden’s critics and defenders should be able to agree on these days it’s that whenever he gives a speech or interview it’s a safe bet that we’re going to get a significant degree of whoppers, incoherency, rambling, confusion, and a whole lot of made up stories about his family/political history sandwiched in between.

I mean the receipts just don’t lie.

A speech he gave Friday in the White House Rose Garden was no exception to the rule, except in this case, it appeared that not even Vice President Kamala Harris could continue wearing the mask of indifference she normally does when she’s standing behind him as he’s addressing the public as only he can.

In the below clip, we see Biden, who is also standing next to Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.), rambling about allegedly not being eligible to serve in the Senate at the time he was first elected or something due to not quite being 30 years old yet. Notice right at the beginning where Harris has sort of a tight smile on her face as Biden starts to tell the story, perhaps clasping her hands to keep herself from covering her facial reactions:

BIDEN: “I remember when I was young. We have something in common. I got elected to the Senate when I was 29 years old, only difference was he was eligible when he got elected to take office. I had to wait 17 days to be eligible. That was 827 years ago.” pic.twitter.com/D6TBRkiUIC

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 22, 2023

In the next one, Biden proclaimed that he had been “to every mass shooting,” which not only is a bizarre claim but is also actually physically impossible:

BIDEN: “I’ve been to every mass shooting” 🤔 pic.twitter.com/nxI5WkosIn

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 22, 2023

At one point Biden boasted about being “the guy, along with a woman in California, who also, we once banned assault weapons and multiple magazines.” The mystery “woman in California” he is referring to is actually Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who is 90 years old and is the longest-serving Senator still currently serving and who, like 80-year-old Joe Biden, has also faced multiple questions regarding her age, cognitive abilities, and fitness to lead:

BIDEN: “I was the guy, along with a woman in California, who also, we once banned assault weapons and multiple magazines” pic.twitter.com/Fua9g652cs

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 22, 2023

Then there was this statement, which I could not make any sense out of whatsoever. I’ll leave it to readers to try and decipher:

BIDEN: “Nothing we’ve ever tried to solve when we’ve done it together we haven’t succeeded” pic.twitter.com/W88HnJetKd

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 22, 2023

This is one of those times when it would have been really helpful for the supposed leader of the free world to have one of his translators around to do some of the heavy lifting.

Biden said much more in his speech specifically related to gun control, and RedState will have more on that part of his remarks later today. As always, stay tuned.

Biden Biographer Says It Would Not Be a ‘Total Shock’ if He Dropped out of 2024 Race

September 18, 2023 by Duke Leave a Comment

Does it seem to you that a message might be coming to us from people around the Bidens (not Jill or Hunter) that it’s time for Joe to step aside from running for reelection for POTUS and pursue a full-time gig as an ice cream flavor tester?

Sure seems like it to me.

We have had a flurry of stories about Joe Biden and his lapses and missteps here at RedState, and about how he could be replaced. One of the latest is that the Senator from Texas, Ted Cruz, believes he knows who and how it could be done. Ted Cruz Has a Very Interesting Theory on Who Will Replace Joe Biden in 2024.

From that article…

At 80-years-old, it only gets worse from here. Is Kamala Harris going to end up taking his place? Sen. Ted Cruz doesn’t think so. Instead, there’s another person he thinks could parachute in: Michelle Obama.

How would that work, you ask? Sen. Cruz explains.

“Here’s the scenario that I think is perhaps the most likely and most dangerous,” Cruz said on his “Verdict with Ted Cruz” podcast. “In August of 2024, the Democrat kingmakers jettison Joe Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama.”

Cruz explained that by running Michelle Obama as the party’s candidate, the Democrats could “avoid the problems” of having to choose a candidate among political figures like Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, Vice President Kamala Harris and California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

That is one helluva theory and sounds like a House of Cards episode, but then again, so does Joe Biden running and winning from his basement in 2020.

I’m leaning more towards the notion of Joe being given a stroll on the boardwalk somewhere and told that his time at 1600 Pennsylvania is coming to an end, and he is NOT running. Whoever has this talk with him will have to make up stories about stuff he has made up over the years to comfort him, and then the chat ends with America loving him for this decision which is that proverbial cherry on top of the crap sundae which has been his presidency.

So imagine my non-shocked face when I read that the person who just did a biography on Biden’s first two years in the White House would also not be shocked if he just gave up much earlier than August of next year. We had a piece last month from Bonchie, titled Joe Biden’s Own Biographer Tosses Him Under the Bus which had said biographer covering another angle of Joe getting called out.

When I read this quote from another article right here about Joe dropping out, I was not really stunned, as I think this is the way it will go.

A biographer of President Biden said that while it would be a surprise, it “wouldn’t be a total shock” if the president drops out of the 2024 race by the end of the calendar year.

The biographer, Franklin Foer, continues…

“I would say it would, it would be a surprise to me. But it wouldn’t be a total surprise,” Foer said, adding that “it wouldn’t be a total shock.”

“When he talks about his life, he uses this word, fate, constantly,” he said. “Joe Biden is a very religious guy, and fate is a word loaded with religious meaning. And he always talks about, ‘He can’t say where fate goes.’ And so I always, when I hear that, to me, it’s the ellipses in the sentence when he’s talking about his own future.”

For a guy who gets so many things wrong about his past, how in the hell does he get the latitude to predict his own future? Mostly, the Washington Press Corp, but I digress.

I would love to say that Joe Biden has just been an unmitigated failure as President of the United States, yet I know better because I watched him in the United States Senate in the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s and am well aware he was also an unmitigated disaster as United States Senator. So, the fact that he has been a spectacular failure as a leader of this country is not surprising and brings me zero joy.

The other thing I’m pretty confident about in regards to Joe Biden is that the party he belongs to will not continue to allow him to meander around and blow their chances of keeping the White House in 2024.

The Democrats are much more cutthroat about this business.

They rally around ideas, and whoever will embrace them and help Implement them will be shoved to the front of the line. If the current rube gets in the way, they get moved aside.

The Republicans rally around personalities and are not as issue-oriented, unfortunately.

In other words, if Joe Biden were a Republican rolling into the 2024 elections, the GOP officials would be all smiles and telling everybody what a great job he was doing while the evening news would be showing him falling up or down stairs. There would never be any discussion, let alone a serious one, of how Joe would need to step aside.

That is why the Democrats get legislation passed that changes this country and puts it on the wrong track, and it never gets repealed or changed.

I don’t see how Joe Biden is the nominee on the ballot in November of 2024. However, he avoids that fate is yet to be determined, and that is what makes politics both infuriating and fun to watch.

Make sure to check out my BIO right over here and let me know what you think, pros or cons.
