Analysis: Joe Biden Rips the Mask off During NATO Summit

June 30, 2022 by Sister Toldjah Leave a Comment

We reported earlier on the embarrassing display put on by President Biden on a world stage during a NATO Summit press conference in Spain.

Not only were the usual non-sensical ramblings uttered, but Biden went on a rant about the United States Supreme Court that, quite frankly, proves perhaps more than anything else he’s done since his swearing-in ceremony that he’s a man who is morally unfit for public office.

For those who missed it, here’s the exchange between Biden and the reporter who teed up a question from the left for him on the Friday Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade (bolded emphasis added):

Reporter: “America is Back” was your motto at the first NATO Summit last year. And you’ve come to this summit here and the one in Germany after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned constitutional protections for abortion, after the shootings in Buffalo and Texas, at a time of record inflation, and as new polling this week shows that 85 percent of the U.S. public thinks the country is going in the wrong direction.

How do you explain this to those people who feel the country is going in the wrong direction, including some of the leaders you’ve been meeting with this week, who think that when you put all of this together, it amounts to an America that is going backward?

Biden: They do not think that. You haven’t found one person — one world leader to say America is going backwards. America is better positioned to lead the world than we ever have been. We have the strongest economy in the world. Our inflation rates are lower than other nations in the world. The one thing that has been destabilizing is the outrageous behavior of the Supreme Court of the United States on overruling not only Roe v. Wade, but essentially challenging the right to privacy.

We’ve been a leader in the world in terms of personal rights and privacy rights, and it is a mistake, in my view, for the Supreme Court to do what it did.

[…]

And the Supreme Court — we have to change that decision by codifying Roe v. Wade.

Watch:

— Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) June 30, 2022

Biden made it clear while here in the U.S. that he was upset by the ruling, so much so that he instructed his administration including DOJ Attorney General Merrick Garland to orchestrate an end-run around the decision made by the Supreme Court if at all possible. Biden’s call to action was something HHS Sec Xavier Becerra apparently took to heart when you consider he dangerously teased earlier this week that his department was considering ways to help provide transportation from one state to the other for women seeking abortions, a potential violation of the Hyde amendment.

While a Cabinet Secretary to the President of the United States openly hinting and without any remorse that they are considering breaking federal law should set off all kinds of alarm bells, the supposed leader of the free world trashing our nation’s highest court on foreign soil is beyond the pale and, in my opinion, tells us more about who Joe Biden really is, with none of it being good.

He’s not just the feckless leader beholden to far-left special interest groups we’ve always known him to be, but he’s also a bitterly divisive man who talks who out of both sides of his mouth about “disrespecting our democratic institutions” when politically convenient, painting his opposition as traitors when they supposedly do it but portraying himself as a “defender” of Constitutional rights when he actually does it.

Let us pause for a moment and reflect on all the times Biden accused Republicans including former President Trump of “undermining our democracy” or whatever by merely questioning election results, and then contrast his past statements and their past statements with what he said not just in the immediate aftermath of the SCOTUS ruling but also during the Madrid press event:

If any other President publicly attacked the Supreme Court of his own country, on foreign soil, in the presence of world leaders, he would be called an insane dictator. But with Biden it’s just another Thursday.

Where are the “muh norms & institutions!!!” people on this? https://t.co/YDHe3AWV1i

— Christina Pushaw 🐊 🇺🇸 (@ChristinaPushaw) June 30, 2022

Last I checked, the “muh norms and institutions” people were also further embarrassing themselves by enabling a third-hand “witness’” fantastical tale about Trump trying to forcibly take over “the Beast” from Secret Service agents during the Capitol riot. Also, last I checked, Joe Biden had a penchant for trashing his country in order to score cool points with the “woke” crowd, something we learned about him before the 2020 election and something that obviously (and unfortunately) hasn’t changed a bit, no matter how hard he tries to hide it.

Kamala Harris Adds Fuel to the Fire With Curious 'Clarification' on Comments About Biden and 2024

June 29, 2022 by Sister Toldjah Leave a Comment

Pretty much any time Vice President Kamala Harris speaks in public, nonsense and wacky word salads gush forth, and that was definitely the case during a Monday one on one she did with CNN anchor Dana Bash, as we previously reported.

But though Harris widely missed the mark when asked various questions about the Supreme Court ruling to strike down Roe v. Wade and what the administration planned on doing to “help” women in the aftermath, one answer she was initially unequivocal on was in response to a question from Bash as to whether or not she would lead the ticket if President Biden decided not to run for reelection in 2024:

Harris did not mince words when asked about 2024, as some critics have questioned whether the 79-year-old President will seek reelection. Bash asked her about comments from House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn, a Biden ally representing South Carolina, that if the President did not run, Clyburn would support Harris leading the ticket.

“Joe Biden is running for reelection, and I will be his ticket mate,” Harris said. “Full stop.”

Watch:

.@vp Harris insists that Joe Biden will be on the top of the ticket in 2024 and she’ll be his running mate. “Full stop. That’s it.” pic.twitter.com/2jGGlqAdrs

— Dana Bash (@DanaBashCNN) June 28, 2022

Here we are two days later and Harris has now issued a rather curious clarification to her original comments according to the Los Angeles Times, which noted that she intentionally sought out reporters on Air Force Two specifically to revise what she’d told Bash earlier this week:

“The president intends to run and if he does, I will be his ticket mate. We will run together,” Harris told a Times reporter Wednesday as she prepared to depart for California aboard Air Force Two.

Advisors had told the reporter that Harris wanted to come to the back of the plane to clarify what she told CNN on Monday.

The L.A. Times also noted that an “in-the-know” Democrat stressed to them that “Harris’ follow-up statement was intended to avoid using ‘trigger words’ that would set off requirements for Biden to establish a formal campaign with the Federal Election Commission and begin fundraising.”

Right. Sure it was.

What happened here is that Harris got over her skis on the question, which she should have been better prepared to answer considering the rampant speculation as to whether Biden will run again and if he doesn’t if she’ll throw her hat into the ring (or if other prominent figures will should Biden bail).

But in attempting to shut down that speculation, Harris only ended up adding fuel to it with definitive remarks that left no room whatsoever for any alternative interpretations. Now the big question is why did she change her statement?

As the old saying goes, “inquiring minds want to know” and all that.

Even on the most basic of questions – and one that is often asked – she still can’t get it right. This woman continues to be so bad at what she does, which will only lead to more debate among Democrats about whether or not she should be a leading contender to replace Biden in 2024 in the event he bows out.

Twice-failed Democratic candidate for president Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is already openly putting out feelers for a possible 2024 run depending on what Biden decides. Expect more to do the same if the rumors grow louder and Harris’ approval ratings remain in the basement.

White House Shuts Down Far-Left Push for Abortions on Federal Land

June 28, 2022 by Cameron Arcand Leave a Comment

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Tuesday that the Biden administration will not consider a far-left proposal to provide abortion services on federal land in states where the procedure is now illegal, after the Supreme Court abortion ruling last week.

“[W]e understand the proposal is well-intentioned, but here’s the thing: It could actually put women and providers at risk. And importantly, in states where abortion is now illegal, women and providers who are not federal employees, as you look at the federal land, could potentially be prosecuted,” Jean-Pierre said in a press briefing.

“As we understand why they would put forward this proposal, there’s actually dangerous ramifications to doing this,” she added.

The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last Friday, which means that abortion laws are now fully in the control of states. Thirteen states have trigger laws on the books, while other conservative states have similarly restrictive laws. Some of these trigger bans, like in Louisana and Texas, are being blocked in court at the moment. On the flip side, Tennessee just had its 2020 injunction vacated for its six-week abortion ban because of the overruling, The Tennesseean reports.

The White House is responding to voices on the far-left, like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York), who said in a speech Friday night, Fox News reported: “Yeah, I’ll start with the babiest of the babiest of baby steps. Open abortion clinics on federal lands in red states right now!”

Jean-Pierre is not the first White House official to brush the idea aside, as Vice President Kamala Harris told CNN’s Dana Bash they were not considering the proposal on Monday.

This is a “broken clock” moment for the administration, as the concept is not realistic. The press secretary also said in a briefing Saturday that President Joe Biden does not support getting rid of the Senate filibuster and packing the Supreme Court, according to The Hill. Moderates in the Senate like Sen. Krysten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) really hold the power in those scenarios, but the president’s lack of support speaks volumes as well. Both of these remarks from the press secretary revealed that the White House knows that its hands are tied–and its options are extremely limited.

The Supreme Court made its decision, and there are only so many shortcuts that the Executive Branch can take to ignore them.

Setting up abortion clinics on federal land would put the states in an odd position in terms of enforcement, which is why the White House calls it “dangerous” in their view. The federal government owns 28 percent of land in the United States, but its uses are “primarily related to preservation, recreation, and development of natural resources”, according to a Congressional Research Service study from 2020.

Sensible people on both sides of the argument should understand that state laws should be respected, and if people want to see policy change, they’ll use the democratic processes this country provides to do so.

The White House’s Secret Meetings With BlackRock Are a Major Threat to Freedom

June 28, 2022 by The Heartland Institute Leave a Comment

(The opinions expressed in guest op-eds are those of the writer and do not necessarily represent the views of RedState.com.)

BlackRock controls more assets than any other investment management firm on Wall Street, with about $10 trillion now under management. (Yes, that’s “trillion” with a “t.”)

BlackRock has used much of this wealth to seize control of sizeable minority stakes in numerous publicly traded companies, making BlackRock and its CEO, Larry Fink, the most powerful forces in corporate America. When BlackRock and Fink speak, Wall Street listens.

There is emerging evidence, however, that BlackRock’s influence is not limited to the corporate and financial spheres. After years of building political alliances and making a laundry list of strategic hires, BlackRock has managed to amass huge amounts of political clout within the Biden administration and U.S. Federal Reserve, allowing them to develop unprecedented strategic partnerships and, according to our new research, gain access to officials in the White House.

Earlier in June, we conducted a detailed analysis of key players at BlackRock and their potential relationships with figures within the Biden administration. Our most important finding reveals that a top executive at BlackRock’s Investment Institute not only has deeply personal ties to White House staff, he has also frequently visited the White House, participating in closed-door meetings with staff from the Office of Cabinet Affairs and the National Security Council.

According to an investigation of White House visitors logs, Thomas E. Donilon — chairman of the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII), BlackRock’s personal think tank dedicated to assessing geopolitical investment risk — met with Biden administration officials at least eight times from March 2021 to November 2021, and perhaps on other occasions as well. White House logs show a “Thomas N. Donilon” visited with Biden administration officials at least twice, and a review of that name suggests it is likely the same person as Thomas E. Donilon.

Further, because White House logs are often made available to the public months after meetings take place, it is possible Donilon has met many times in recent months, but that we are not yet aware of the meetings.

Although the contents of these meetings have largely remained a mystery, their secrecy, Donilon’s professional background, and his current role at BlackRock all raise important questions about the potentially corrupt nature of the gatherings.

Donilon has been an important figure in U.S. foreign policy for many years. Most recently, he served under President Barack Obama as his national security advisor. He also worked for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and was reportedly on Biden’s short list of nominees to become the next CIA director.

In large part because of his extensive experience in government, and likely because of his connections to establishment Democrats, BlackRock hired Donilon to be its chairman of BII, which, according to BlackRock’s website, “leverages the firm’s expertise and generates proprietary research to provide insights on the global economy, markets, geopolitics and long-term asset allocation – all to help our clients and portfolio managers navigate financial markets.”

In other words, Donilon’s job is to help BlackRock clients make money and protect their assets by having access to important information about foreign affairs, geopolitics, etc. Of course, such insights would be greatly enhanced by insider knowledge provided by White House staff. We cannot yet prove Donilon is being fed this kind of insider information, but the identity of the participants in the meetings suggests that this sort of cronyist arrangement could be exactly what’s going on.

Beginning in March 2021, just two months after Biden entered the White House, Donilon started to meet with Biden administration officials. He met multiple times with special assistants to the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs Thomas Isen and Sanam Rastegar, and he also met once with Sezaneh Seymour, the deputy national security advisor for cyber and emerging technology at the National Security Council.

Donilon has also conducted at least four one-on-one meetings with Kimberly Lang, a figure we know very little about. Lang is strangely absent from the official Annual Report to Congress on White House Office Personnel dated July 1, 2021, despite having held meetings since Biden’s first week in office. However, federal payroll records suggest that Lang worked alongside Biden and Donilon in the Obama administration’s National Security Council.

Despite her relative anonymity, White House visitor logs show Lang regularly holds meetings, often privately, with top foreign policy and national security elites, including experts on geopolitical affairs, nuclear threats, terrorism, and economic sanctions. Some of her notable visitors have included William Burns, director of the Central Intelligence Agency; James Stavridis, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe and current managing director of the Carlyle Group; and Colin Kahl, U.S. undersecretary of defense.

Further, according to emails obtained from WikiLeaks, Donilon and Lang were in contact while Donilon served as national security advisor, when he ran the National Security Council to which Lang has since been linked. Lang was closely apprised of Donilon’s whereabouts, often directly communicating with him in addition to powerful government officials such as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and current National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

This evidence appears to show that Donilon, an expert in foreign policy, is secretly meeting with well-connected national security staff in the Biden White House while also working for BlackRock in a position where he is responsible for using geopolitical and foreign policy information to help investors get a good financial return.

On its own, this finding from our investigation is troubling. What has Thomas Donilon learned during these meetings, and has he used that information to help BlackRock clients? Is BlackRock influencing foreign or domestic policy through Thomas Donilon? These questions are incredibly important but have yet to be asked by the mainstream press.

Incredibly, as bad as these connections seem to be, Donilon’s links to the Biden administration run even deeper. Mike Donilon, a senior advisor to the president, is Thomas Donilon’s brother. Mike has been a longtime supporter of Biden’s, even serving as his chief strategist throughout the 2020 presidential campaign.

Until earlier this year, Thomas Donilon’s wife, Cathy Russell, was the director of the Presidential Personnel Office, which vested her with the important task of hiring and vetting administration employees.

Perhaps not so coincidentally, the Donilon duo’s daughter, Sarah, also works in the Biden administration, as a staffer for the National Security Council, giving Thomas Donilon yet another important contact in the White House.

BlackRock has other connections within the Biden administration as well. For example, Brian Deese, who is now Biden’s National Economic Council director, was formerly global head of sustainable investing at BlackRock. Wally Adeyemo, deputy secretary of the Treasury Department, previously served as chief of staff to BlackRock Chairman and CEO Larry Fink.

Speaking of Fink, he, too, appears to have met secretly at the White House. Visitor logs show that on February 8, 2022, just two weeks before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Fink met with Steve Ricchetti, the counselor to the president. Ricchetti served as chairman of Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign, and has been described as the “yin to the yang” of Biden’s other highly trusted advisor — Mike Donilon.

Why is the Biden administration frequently meeting with important players at BlackRock? Have other former BlackRock employees been in contact with current BlackRock staff? Have BlackRock’s financial interests impacted public policy? Has advance knowledge of the Biden administration’s policy decisions financially enriched BlackRock? Has classified intelligence on geopolitical events such as the war in Ukraine — and the Biden administration’s response towards Russia — allowed BlackRock to divest itself from riskier holdings?

Gaining answers to these questions is vital, as the evidence points in the direction of — but does not yet definitively show — a disturbing degree of cronyism between the White House and the world’s largest private asset manager. Yet, without a thorough explanation by the relevant parties, or potentially an investigation by the proper authorities, we are not likely to know the full story anytime soon.

Tuesday 'Toon: Joe Biden, the Most Corrupt President Ever

June 28, 2022 by Jim Thompson Leave a Comment

Sure, having the Biden crime syndicate in charge of the presidency adds a lot of rich fodder for a cartoonist. But wouldn’t be nice if, just once, I had nothing to lampoon?

Joe told us he knew nothing about, and never discussed, Hunter’s dirty dealings with China. A new report on a voicemail left by the Big Guy for Joe’s bagman leaves no doubt that Joe’s a crook and liar. But, we knew that.

Joe’s in the pocket of CCP. Everyone knows it — friend and foe.

Shameful.
