Report: Feds mass-released single adult illegal immigrants, mostly men, who were driven by taxi to Texas airport for travel to other US cities

Video caught the moments that numerous single adult illegal immigrants — released from federal custody — were taken by bus to a small, unmarked office in a parking garage in Brownsville, Texas, and then transported by taxi to an airport, where they were headed to other United States cities, Fox News reported.

What are the details?

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin said video recorded Sunday showed several federally contracted buses dropping off dozens of mostly male migrants at the parking garage, which was adorned with black tarps, reportedly to keep the public from seeing the goings-on — as well as a sign reading “Border Patrol drop-off.”

The cable network said the migrants re-emerged soon after from inside the office in the parking garage and entered taxis.

Fox News said the taxis took migrants to nearby Harlingen Airport. Fox News — which reported that it followed the taxis to the airport — reported that no children or families were among the migrants.

Several migrants told Fox they crossed illegally into the U.S. that same morning after paying about $2,000 per person to cartel smugglers and were flying from the airport to cities such as Miami, Houston, and Atlanta.


The cable network said single adults usually are expelled via Title 42 public health protections, which were established under former President Donald Trump. But President Joe Biden’s administration isn’t applying Title 42 to unaccompanied children or most migrant families, Fox News said.

What did the city have to say?

The city of Brownsville told the cable network that its Office of Emergency Management, through federal assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, has been facilitating “the transfer of these migrants to their final destination by allowing them to use services to contact their families, NGOs, or a taxicab.”

The city also confirmed that the parking garage is a staging area where migrants are given travel information to “facilitate their transfer to their final destinations,” Fox News said, adding that migrants also can receive health screenings there.

What did the feds have to say?

Customs and Border Protection told the cable network it wasn’t involved in the release. And while Immigration and Customs Enforcement told Fox News it was looking into the matter, an ICE source who viewed the recorded video said it’s believed it was indeed an ICE release.

Anything else?

The report came as CBP officially released its December border numbers that showed 178,840 encounters in December, which Fox News said is a higher number than the three previous Decembers combined (175,353).

The cable network added that the Biden administration is re-establishing the Trump-era Migrant Protection Protocols in response to a court order that found dismantling the program is unlawful.

Liverpool Bomber Had his Asylum Rejected SIX Years Before Attack

The Liverpool taxi bomber who blew himself up in the car park of a city hospital had his asylum rejected in 2015, six years before his attempted attack.

Iraqi born Emad Al Swealmeen — who falsely claimed to be Syrian in his failed asylum application — targeted Liverpool Women’s Hospital on Remembrance Sunday (November 14th) 2021. It was claimed at the time that his attack was stopped by Liverpudlian taxi driver Dave Perry who realised that Swealmeen was potentially carrying an explosive and locked the would-be terrorist in the car, where the device ultimately detonated, only killing Swealmeen.

It has now since emerged that the bomber had his asylum seeker application denied by the Home Office six years before the attack, but like thousands of others, he was never actually deported.

The coroner’s court heard that Swealmeen had his asylum appeal denied by the Home Office on the 16th of April 2015, after he was initially rejected after arriving legally in Britain in 2014. The court discovered at that time Swealmeen had falsified information in his asylum application, incorrectly claiming he was from Syria.

Assuming a Syrian identity was a common tactic for asylum seekers in the last decade in Europe, given the widespread — and largely correct — assumption that Syrians would receive preferential treatment from governments.

Despite a judge ruling in 2015 that they rejected Swealmeen’s “account of events in Syria and his fears on his return in their entirety” and the subsequent dismissal of Iraqi-born Swealmeen’s “asylum appeal”, the British Home Office allowed Swealmeen to remain in Britain and even provided housing for him as recently as April 2021, ITV reports.

It was also revealed at the coroner’s court that Swealmeen, 32, had a history of violence, having been locked up in the Middle East for serious assault and had even previously been convicted in Britain for possessing an offensive weapon in public.

The Home Office opted not to seek immediate enforced deportation — which they were legally entitled to do — even after it was revealed in the courts at the time that Swealmeen had a “middle-class upbringing” in Jordan, Iraq and Dubai, and language analysis conducted by the Home Office determined Al Swealmeen was Iraqi, not Syrian as he had claimed.

The Home Office has repeatedly refused to explain why Swealmeen was not deported by British authorities after his initial appeal was rejected in 2015.

Swealmeen’s case has also exposed a major flaw in the British asylum system process, as he claimed to have converted to Christianity in an alleged effort to try and negate the risk of him being deported. It is unlikely Christians from some Islamic countries will be deported back due to the discrimination Christians suffer in these nations, or if apostasy — leaving the Islamic faith — is criminalised.

The coroner’s court however learned that Al Swealmeen was still a practising Muslim at the time of his attack, despite allegedly converting to Christianity in May 2017, so was supposedly exploiting this loophole to stay in Britain.

UK Looks to Detain ALL Male Migrants Crossing the English Channel: Report

The UK is said to be looking at detaining all male migrants intercepted while crossing the English Channel under plans being drawn up by the government.

While migrants who successfully land on English soil are in breach of the law, and as such can be detained, authorities do not currently have the same powers regarding those intercepted during the crossing by the Border Force, which counts for the majority of illegal boat migrants.

However, this may soon change, with a plan drawn up by Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Home Secretary Priti Patel outlining a future where all single male migrants caught crossing the Channel will also be detained, according to a report by The Times.

Patel is also reportedly working closely with the Attorney General of England and Wales to establish what current laws such migrants could be detained under, and what new powers are needed.

The Nationality and Borders Bill currently going through parliament is set to make crossing the English Channel without prior clearance to enter the UK an offence punishable by up to four years in prison as well.

Also being considered by the British government are plans to outsource asylum claims to third party countries, such as Rwanda. The UK is also seeking to build bilateral migrant return agreements with nations such as France, though previous attempts by the British government to do this have been outright rejected in the past.

One government official told The Times that ministers believe that making the UK less attractive to migrants is the best way of reducing the number of people crossing the Channel.

“They’re convinced this is the way to create a deterrent,” the source said. “Their thinking is ‘you make it worse and worse, more draconian and it’ll stop people coming’. They’re absolutely convinced that tough deterrents are the way to fix it.”

Others have also previously criticised how attractive the UK is to would-be migrants, with the French in particular heaping blame on Britain for the crisis which saw over 28,000 illegals land on UK shores last year.

France’s Interior Minister, Gérald Darmanin, lambasted the British government last year, saying that migrants were being “attracted by England, especially the labour market which means you can work in England without any identification”.

“Britain must take its responsibility and limit its economic attractiveness,” the minister said.

Arch Brexiteer Nigel Farage has also slammed how attractive the UK is to migrants, saying that it wouldn’t matter if you put “20,000 police on the beaches in France” because of the pull factors present in Britain.

“I think it is possible that by the spring or summer of [2022] this will become a national emergency,” Farage said. “I think the numbers that will come will dwarf what you are currently seeing. I’ve not been wrong on a single prediction on this.”

Farage’s warning was followed by a subsequent report that up to 65,000 migrants could make the crossing in 2022, though the Brexiteer has said that it could be even higher.

Boris Johnson’s government has since announced that the Royal Navy would be put in charge of operations in the Channel in the hopes of stemming the tide, but this has not in any way assuaged Farage’s fears.

“Using the Royal Navy to ferry migrants into Dover is a waste of military resources and a more expensive taxi service than border force,” the ex-Brexit Party leader told Breitbart London, saying that the move effectively meant making the navy an “expensive taxi service”.
