Rocker Peter Frampton Pushes Gun Controls That Opened the Door to Record Stabbings in the UK

Rocker Peter Frampton tweeted his support for gun ban Monday just hours after a 28-year-old woman opened fire in a Nashville area Christian school.

Breitbart News reported that a female attacker shot and killed three students and three adults at Covenant School Monday morning.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department indicated that the woman was armed with multiple firearms.

Peter Frampton responded to the shooting by tweeting.

Frampton did not mention that a surge in attacks with bladed weapons, like knives, followed the adoption of restrictive gun controls in the UK.

For example, on January 11, 2023, the UK Parliament’s House of Commons Library published information showing “In the year ending March 2022, there were around 45,000 (selected) offenses involving a knife or sharp instrument in England and Wales (excluding Greater Manchester Police Force). This was 9% higher than in 2020/21 and 34% higher than in 2010/11.”

The House of Commons Library also noted “In the year ending March 2022 there were 261 homicides (currently recorded) using a sharp instrument, including knives and broken bottles.”

On February 9, 2023, the Press Association pointed out that “the number of people killed with a knife in England and Wales in 2021/22 was the highest on record for 76 years.”

Joe Biden Opens Comments on Nashville Christian School Shooting with Jokes About Ice Cream

President Joe Biden ascended the podium Monday and joked about chocolate chip ice cream before calling for more gun control in the wake of the Nashville Christian school shooting.

He joked about ice cream with the audience in the East Room prior to shifting to talk about the Nashville school attack.

Biden said, “We know there are a number of people who did not make it, including children.”

He said, “We have to [do] more to stop gun violence. It’s ripping our communities apart, ripping at the very soul of the nation. We have to do more to protect our schools, so they aren’t turned into prison[s].”

Biden added, “The shooter, in this situation, reportedly had two ‘assault weapons’ and a pistol, two AK-47s.”

He said, “I call on Congress again to pass my ‘assault weapons’ ban. It’s about time that we begin to make more progress.”

Female shooter kills 3 children, 3 staff members at Nashville Christian school (UPDATE)

3:00 p.m. ET: Metro Nashville Police Department Chief John Drake identified the shooting suspect as a white woman believed to be from the Nashville area. Chief Drake said initial findings indicate “at one point, [the shooter] was a student at the school, but unsure what year.”

“I know there will be people who want to criticize us for prayers, but that’s the way we do that in the South. We believe in prayer and we believe in the power of prayer,” David B. Rausch, director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, said during a press conference.

A 28-year-old woman allegedly shot and killed three children and three adult staff members at a Nashville Christian school before being engaged by police, multiple outlets reported Monday. The shooter is dead.

“In a tragic morning, Nashville joined the dreaded, long list of communities to experience a school shooting,” Nashville’s Mayor John Cooper said in a statement on Twitter.

“My heart goes out to the families of the victims. Our entire city stands with you. As facts continue to emerge, I thank our first responders and medical professionals,” Cooper also said.

The atrocious shooting occurred at approximately 10:13 a.m. at the Covenant School, a private Christian school in Nashville for children from preschool through sixth grade. The school is on the campus of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

The 28-year-old woman was reportedly armed with two “assault-type” rifles and a handgun, according to Don Aaron of the Metro Nashville Police. A five-member police team encountered the shooter, fatally shooting her at around 10:27 a.m.

Initial reports, which were incorrect, characterized the shooter as a teenage girl.

The shooter reportedly entered the school through a side door. She made her way to the second floor, where she then opened fire.

The Nashville Fire Department also responded to reports of an “active aggressor” at the school, quickly confirming multiple victims were involved and adding information on a reunification site for parents.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre offered remarks during a regularly scheduled press briefing Monday afternoon. She reported that the president had been briefed on the situation and the team was in contact with the Department of Justice and local officials.

“We want to express the president’s appreciation for the first responders and prayers for all the families affected,” the press secretary said.

“We know that too often our schools and communities are being devastated by gun violence. Schools should be safe spaces for our kids to grow and learn and for our educators to teach.”

“President Biden has taken more action than any president in history on gun safety,” she added, mentioning the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act signed into law after the atrocities in Uvalde and Buffalo.

“There are no words to describe their deep loss,” retired FBI special agent Nicole Parker told Fox News Channel’s John Roberts on “America Reports.”

“These families have open wounds that will never be healed. … I firmly believe faith is what will pull these individuals through.”

FOX News: Nashville Christian School Had No Armed Resource Officers

Covenant School, the Christian school where an attacker killed three students Monday, did not have armed resource officers on campus when the attack occurred, Fox News reporter John Roberts noted during live coverage of the shooting at the Nashville area Covenant School.

Nashville police spokesperson Don Aaron indicated the attacker was a young woman, who appeared “to be in her teens,” armed with multiple firearms.

Roberts said, “There was no school resource officer present at the school. It’s a private school, it doesn’t employ anybody from the Nashville police department to look after the school.”

Breitbart News reported that there were no armed resource officers at Denver’s East High School when a 17-year-old student shot two staff members on Wednesday.

Denver Public Schools superintendent Alex Marrero responded by announcing two armed resource officers would be placed on campus.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department held a press conference on Monday’s Covenant School shooting and indicated the attacker who killed three students was a female.

Breitbart News reported that three children were killed in the attack Monday, but details on the attacker were not known.

The MNPD press conference revealed the attacker was as female who not only killed three children, but three adults as well.

MNPD initially noted the female “[appeared] to be in her teens” and she was shot and killed by police but later said the suspect was a 28-year-old woman.

She was armed with two rifles and a handgun.

MNPD spokesman Don Aaron said, “Officers entered the first story of the school, began clearing it, they heard shots coming second level, they immediately went to the gunfire. When the officers got to the second level, they saw a shooter, a female, who was firing. The officers engaged her and she was fatally shot by responding police officers.”

Aaron said the female attacker entered the school through a side entrance.

Mike Bloomberg gun control affiliate Shannon Watts blamed the shooting on the law that allows law-abiding citizens to permitlessly carry a handgun for self-defense.
