Privacy Policy

At FiercePatriots.com (“FP”) your privacy is important to the us. Our goal is to provide you with a personalized online experience where you can access information, resources, and services relevant and helpful to you. This Privacy Policy has been written to describe the conditions under which FP’s website is being made available to you. This Privacy Policy discusses, among other things, how data obtained during your visit to this website may be collected and used. We strongly recommend that you read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using this website, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy and the FP Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, you have the freedom (thanks to the many valiant men and women who defended that freedom) to choose not to access or use FP’s website or any materials obtained from it. If you are dissatisfied with how the website functions or performs, you also have that right.  If you would like to share how you feel, please feel free to contact us and let us know what we can better.  If we agree with your suggestions, we will exercise our right to make changes to the website.  If we don’t then we will exercise our right not to make any changes and you can either deal with it or exercise your right not to access the website.  Either way, you get to choose how you act and you alone are responsible for your own actions.

The process of maintaining a website is an evolving one, and we at FP may decide at some point in the future, without advance notice, to modify the terms of this Privacy Policy. An individual’s use of the website, or materials obtained from the website, indicates your assent to this Privacy Policy at the time of such use. The effective Privacy Policy will be posted on the website, and all users are strongly encouraged to check this Privacy Policy for any updates.

Sites Covered by this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all the FP maintained websites, domains, information portals, and registries.

Children’s Privacy

FP is committed to protecting the privacy needs of children, and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. FP does not intentionally collect information from minors, and FP does not target its website to children.  Rather, we encourage parents to know what their children are involved with and to get involved in those same activities as spending time with your children is good for you and even better for them.  Despite the fact that we operate a website, we suggest you get your children offline and outdoors including getting them involved in the shooting sports as such activities foster respect for nature and life.

Links to Third-Party Websites

FP’s may provide links to third-party websites for the convenience of our users. If you access those links, you will leave FP’s website.  FP does not control these third-party websites and will not represent that their policies and practices will be consistent with this Privacy Policy. Therefore, should you choose to use other websites do so with caution, and at your own risk. Again, you are responsible for your own behavior.  We at FP strongly encourage all users to review the privacy policy of any website before submitting personal information.

Types of Information FP Collects

Non-Personal Information:  Non-personal information is data about usage and service operation that is not directly associated with a specific personal identity.  FP may collect and analyze non-personal information to evaluate how visitors use our website.

Aggregate Information: FP may gather aggregate information, which refers to information your computer automatically provides to us and that cannot be tied back to you as a specific individual. Examples include referral data, the websites you visited just before and just after our site, the pages viewed, time spent at the FP website, and Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to an individual’s computer whenever they access the Internet. For example, when you request a page from one of our sites, our servers log your IP address to create aggregate reports on user demographics and traffic patterns and for purposes of system administration.

Log Files:  Every time an individual requests or downloads a file from FP’s website, data about those events and the IP address that preformed them are saved in a log file.  FP may use this information to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use or for other business purposes.

Cookies:  FP’s website utilizes a feature of an individual’s browser to set a “cookie” on their computer. Cookies are small packets of information that a website’s computer stores on your computer. FP’s website can then read the cookies whenever an individual visits our site. We may use cookies in several ways, such as to save your password so you don’t have to re-enter it each time you visit our site, to deliver content specific to your interests and to track the pages you’ve visited. These cookies allow us to use the information we collect to customize your experience so that every visit to our site is as relevant and as valuable to you as possible. Most browser software can be set up to customize cookies. An individual may modify their browser preference to provide them with choices relating to cookies. The individual has the choice to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If an individual chooses to reject cookies, certain functions and conveniences of the FP website may not work properly, and a user may be unable to use some of services that require registration to participate.

Personal Information:  Personal information is information that is associated with an individual’s name or personal identity. FP uses personal information to better understand a customer’s needs and interests and to provide them with better service. On some of FP’s webpages, a user may be able to request information, subscribe to mailing lists, participate in online discussions, collaborate on documents, provide feedback, submit information into registries, or register for events. The types of personal information you provide on these pages may include name, address, phone number, e-mail address, user IDs, or passwords.

How We Use Your Information

FP may use non-personal data that is aggregated for reporting about FP’s website usability, performance, and effectiveness. It may be used to improve the experience, usability, and content of our site.

Information Sharing

FP takes commercially reasonable steps to maintain the security of your information. However, FP reserves the right to release personal information to protect our systems or business, when we reasonably believe an individual to be in violation of our Privacy Policy or Terms of Use or if we reasonably believe an individual to have initiated or participated in any illegal activity. In addition, please be aware that in certain circumstances, FP may be obligated to release your personal information pursuant to judicial or other government subpoenas, warrants, or other orders.

In keeping with our open process, FP will likely maintain publicly accessible archives for the majority of our activities. Thus, for example, if you post your email address to any of FP’s-hosted public forums or place it on parts of the website that is publicly accessible or viewable, it may result in your email address becoming part of the publicly accessible archives.

Anonymous users are allowed to post content and/or participate in forum discussions. In such a case, since no user name can be associated with such a user, the IP address number of a user may used as an identifier. As such, when posting content or messages to FP’s site anonymously, you consent that your IP address may be revealed to the public.

Please remember that any information, including personal information, that you disclose in public areas of our website, such as forums, message boards, and news groups, becomes public information that others may collect, circulate, and use. Because we do not control the acts of others, you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose information about yourself or others in any public forum.

Given the fact that the FP websites is accessible on the World Wide Web, personal information may be visible to persons outside your country of residence, including to persons in countries that your own country’s privacy laws and regulations deem deficient in ensuring an adequate level of protection for such information. If you are unsure whether this Privacy Policy conflicts with applicable local rules, you should not submit your information.  Individuals located in countries outside of the United States of America who submit personal information do thereby consent to the general use of such information as provided in this Privacy Policy and to its transfer to and/or storage in the United States of America.

If you do not want your personal information collected and used by FP, please do not visit the FP website or use any of FP’s services.

Security

FP makes every effort to protect personal information on the website, including using firewalls and other security measures on its servers. No server, however, is 100% secure, and you should take this into account when submitting personal or confidential information about yourself on any website, including this one. You alone are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your personal information. Please use great care whenever discussing personal information on FP’s website.

Opting Out

From time to time FP may email electronic newsletters, announcements, surveys, contests or other information. If you prefer not to receive these communications, you may opt out by following the directions provided within the electronic newsletters and announcements.

If you have questions regarding this privacy policy, please email us at [email protected].
