Language
Here at TheGunPoint we are all about free speech and the First Amendment. However, while we want everyone to have the ability to convey their message, we do ask that you do your best not to use profanity. We do understand that sometimes it may be difficult to really get your point across or find a replace for that perfect word so we ask that if you must use profanity that you do so in such way so as not to offend our younger readers.
In fact, over time, people have come up with various handy ways to insert profanity, or at least the recognition of profanity, without using the actual words. One of the oldest and easiest ways to do this is by inserting random %&$#[email protected]! symbols. This method has been used for years in newspaper comics and other forms of media. You can use the beginning and ending letter and then clean up the middle with symbols so those who need to understand exactly what you wanted say can do so with those who don’t just moving on.
Fun fact: The technical terms for a stream of symbols is “grawlix”, or “profanitype”.
