Populist Win: New Anti-Globalist Farmers Wins Even More Dutch Senators Than Expected, Are Largest Party

March 20, 2023 by Jack Montgomery Leave a Comment

The anti-Great Reset, pro-farmer BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB) movement appears to have won even more seats in the Dutch senate than expected, with the globalist coalition government losing heavily.

The BoerBurgerBeweging (Farmer-Citizen Movement) was founded to represent the interests of Dutch farmers facing severe difficulties or being closed down altogether as a result of Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s efforts to implement European Union-mandated curbs on the use of nitrogen fertilisers, in order to serve the bloc’s climate change green agenda.

Initially a protest movement, the BBB has been involved in many major demonstrations, often involving tractors, in the Netherlands — but it arrived as a political force in the country’s recent regional government elections for the first time, which also determine the make-up of the First Chamber of the States General — the upper house or senate of the Dutch legislature.

As the results of the election become clearer, it now appears to scale of the Farmer-Citizen Movement’s success was greater than polls initially suggested, with it being due to claim 17 seats in the Senate and become by far the largest party there, according to pro-farmer campaigner Eva Vlaardingerbroek.

The precarious four-party coalition government of the supposedly “centre-right” Prime Minister Mark Rutte, meanwhile, appears to have suffered somewhat worse losses than expected, with Vlaardingerbroek suggesting they will be unable to achieve a majority even with the support of the Labour Party and the Greens.

🇳🇱 UPDATE on the Dutch elections!

The final votes have been counted. The BBB (farmers citizens movement) gained a staggering 17 seats and the ruling parties have suffered severe losses and won’t reach a majority – not even with the help of the Green Party + Labour. #DutchFarmers pic.twitter.com/ZQTtB48Riw

— Eva Vlaardingerbroek (@EvaVlaar) March 19, 2023

Vlaardingerbroek has previously alleged that her country is being used as a “pilot” for a broader agenda, with Prime Minister Rutte “very deeply involved in the World Economic Forum [and] a great proponent of all the ideas laid out in the 2030 Agenda and the Great Reset.”

“It’s all related, all these policies are out of those institutions and they are being implemented in our country first, we are sort of the pilot country together with Canada for this agenda,” she added, lamenting the impact of the scheme on farmers targeted by the EU’s Natura 2000 scheme who have in many cases been tending their land and livestock for generations, but now face being forced out of business by state power.

Some members of the Dutch Cabinet have been giving pause by the bloody nose the BBB inflicted on them in the elections, however, with Wopke Hoekstra, who leads the supposedly Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) party which is in coalition with Prime Minister Rutte’s People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), warning the government can no longer simply “move on to the order of the day”.

— Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) June 26, 2021

Regardless of the unease on the government benches, however, Dutch politics will not change overnight, given the somewhat labyrinthine mechanism by which the composition of the Dutch Senate is decided.

The Senate’s makeup is determined indirectly by the elections for regional governments — the States-Provincial — whose members then select Senators with the assistance of four electoral colleges representing former Dutch colonies in the Caribbean and Dutch expatriates.

As with U.S. presidential elections, there is a delay between the people casting their votes and their will being implemented by their institutional representatives, but with 99 per cent of votes counted in the provincial elections the seat projections for the formal appointment process for Senators — scheduled for May — are now near-certain to hold true.

Great Reset: EU Vote to Implement Digital ID Latest Step in the ‘Chinaficaiton of Europe’ – MEP

March 19, 2023 by Peter Caddle Leave a Comment

A European Parliament vote for bloc-wide digital IDs is the latest step towards the “Chinafication of Europe”, an MEP has claimed.

Cristian Terhes, a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the Christian Democratic National Peasants’ Party, has described the European Union’s latest push for cross-border digital IDs as another move towards the “Chinafication” of the bloc.

Although bureaucrats in Brussels have insisted that the measure is in the interests of average citizens, the parliament’s vote to see digital IDs adopted appears to be one of the latest attempts by EU institutions to pull power away from member-states’ national governments.

According to a report by Euractiv, the vote to see negotiations for a European Digital Identity Framework (eID) to go forward was approved by the bloc’s parliament on Thursday — though the publication describes the process as a mere formality.

Romana Jerkovic, the parliament’s rapporteur for the digital ID programme, heralded its approval of the plans, claiming that they will enable individual EU citizens to have “full control over their own data” while accessing facilities across the bloc.

Such a claim has been heavily disputed by Terhes, however, who instead sees the measure as a dangerous erosion of the rights of those living within the European Union.

“The loss of our freedoms and liberties to the Big State is normally done incrementally, but the passing of the eID Wallet is a big step towards the Chinafication of Europe,” the parliamentarian told Breitbart Europe, repeatedly warning that the measure could give authorities China-like oversight over people’s private lives.

“This Digital Wallet will allow the EU and national authorities (like the Chinese Communist Party) to have technical tools so they can know what the people are doing and to impose control,” Terhes said.

“Something similar to a Chinese style Social Credit System is now made available in the EU, because this eID Wallet is a necessary technology to its implementation,” he alleged.

‘Chinafication of Europe’: EU President Hints at Bloc-Wide Vaccine Mandate https://t.co/8SNmyqsNNJ

— Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) December 2, 2021

The Romanian politician went on to compare the coming digital ID measure to the bloc’s system of bloc-wide COVID certificates, which were used to prevent people who had not been vaccinated, recovered from the coronavirus recently, or received a negative test for the disease from travelling to different countries.

“We have already a bad experience with the EU’s Digital Covid Certificate, which was advertised as ‘facilitating’ freedom of movement, but it was, in fact, used to restrict and control people’s movement if their status or behaviour did not please state authorities,” he explained.

At the height of the bloc’s lockdown hysteria such controls were not enough for many in Brussels, with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at one point pushing for the Union to adopt a bloc-wide forced vaccination mandate requiring people to get jabbed against the disease.

“How we can encourage and potentially think about mandatory vaccination within the European Union, this needs discussion,” the Commission President said in late 2021, adding that she wanted a “common approach” to the issue across the bloc.

The measure would have likely been similar to those enshrined in law by Austria, for example — although the German-speaking nation’s attempts to actually implement the policy eventually failed miserably.

Escalation: Backed by U.S. and EU, Poland and Slovakia Sending Jets to Ukraine

March 17, 2023 by Oliver JJ Lane Leave a Comment

Russia has vowed to destroy all fighter jets donated to Ukraine by European nations after Poland and Slovakia, backed by new equipment and finance from the U.S. and the European Union, became the first countries to send warplanes to Kyiv.

Fighter jets have been a long-term demand for the Ukrainian government of Volodymyr Zelensky since the renewed Russian invasion at the start of 2022, but NATO leaders have shied away from what they considered a major escalation of their involvement in the conflict until now. Enabled by cash and replacement warbirds from the United States and the European Union, two European nations are sending fighter jets to Ukraine in the coming days.

The first to announce it was sending jets was Poland, whose airforce operates many former-Soviet fighters. Warsaw announced Thursday it would be sending the first tranche of Mikoyan MIG-29 ‘Fulcrum’ fighter jets, a 1980s-era type roughly originally built as a parallel to the U.S. F-16. While that delivery will run to four jets, Poland has dozens and is reportedly preparing others for delivery.

Now Receiving Tanks, Ukraine Advances Discussions to Jets, Submarines, Long-Range Missiles https://t.co/YwWlSy6Vt5

— Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) January 29, 2023

The Polish jets going to Kyiv ends over a year of will-they-won’t-they following their initial announcement of intent to supply Ukraine with fighters in March 2022. The jets are expected to go to Ukraine within days, Poland said.

Poland is being backed in the donation, albeit somewhat indirectly, by the United States which is supplying the Polish Air Force with modern F-35s. Until they arrive, which could take years, the United Kingdom has offered to supply air patrols in the skies of NATO members who donate warbirds to Ukraine.

In the case of Poland, the United Kingdom has explicitly offered to “backfill” their air defence capacity when they give their own jets to Ukraine.

As has been the case with other major escalations in levels of support to Ukraine — the provision of main battle tanks, for instance, where months of refusals from NATO nations ended with a rush of donations after the United Kingdom opened the floodgates by being the first to supply — Poland making the jets announcement has been closely followed. Slovakia has now said it will send its entire airforce’s stock of MIG-29s as well in an announcement on Friday just hours after Poland’s.

Send Money: Ukraine Calls Again for More Funds, Arms, Munitions, Fighter Jets, to ‘Stop Russia’https://t.co/qtrqVvElCj

— Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) August 12, 2022

Slovakia’s MIG-29s were retired last year and not all of the 13 aircraft are functional, Reuters reports, but all will be sent anyway, with the non-flying airframes to be cannibalised by the Ukrainians for spares.

Slovakia is also receiving considerable support from Western powers to make the donation possible. The European Union is making a contribution of $200 million to the Slovakian government in “compensation” for them losing their jets, and the United States has agreed to supply $700 million of new military equipment — likely American-made fighters like the F-35 — to replace them.

As Euronews reports, Ukraine itself has reacted with some ingratitude to the donations of jets, with airforce spokesman Yuriy Ignat cited as having said: “MiGs will not solve the problems, we need F-16s. But the MiGs will help to strengthen our capabilities.”

Russia, for their part, declared the transfer of jets to Ukraine illegal, but nevertheless said they weren’t worried as the aircraft would “naturally” be destroyed anyway. A Moscow spokesman claimed under the contracts through which the Soviet-made MIG-29s were originally supplied to Poland and Slovakia, they need Russia’s permission to export them to a third party, Kremlin press agency TASS reported Friday.

Whether that obligation is real or not, Poland and Slovakia have clearly decided that pariah state Russia is in no position to enforce the contractual obligations anyway.

Regardless, Moscow vowed to destroy the Soviet jets once they were in the hands of the Ukrainians. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the donation demonstrated that Western powers were directly involved in the Ukraine War, that the provision of aircraft would not have an impact on the war other than to lengthen it, and that: “Naturally, these aircraft will be destroyed in the course of the special military operation.”

Reset This! Dutch Elections See Tractor Protest Party Trounce Globalist Govt and EU Green Agenda

March 16, 2023 by Kurt Zindulka Leave a Comment

The upstart populist pro-farmer party FarmerCitizenMovement (BBB) shook the foundations of politics in the Netherlands overnight, securing a significant victory in Wednesday’s provincial elections on the back of growing resentment against the globalist government of Prime Minister Mark Rutte and his plans to introduce Great Reset-style environmental policies.

“People, what the fuck happened?” exclaimed the frank-talking, half-Irish leader of the BBB, Caroline van der Plas in a victory speech on Wednesday evening as her party, which was formed just three years ago, saw the most gains of any party in the elections that will determine the makeup of the Dutch senate.

The BoerBurgerBeweging (FarmerCitizenMovement) dominated voting in rural areas of the country largely as a result of anger towards the government’s plans to impose EU-driven regulations on farming, particularly the use of nitrogen fertilisers, which many farmers have warned will put them out of business.

At the time of this reporting, BBB is expected to pick up an astonishing 16 seats in the 75-seat Senate, after previously holding zero. With 94 per cent of the vote counted, turnout is projected to have been around  57.5 per cent, the highest since the 1980s.

Commenting on the shock results, the chairman of the Agriculture and Horticultural Organization Netherlands (LTO), Sjaak van der Tak said that it was “an important profit for our farmers and the vital countryside,” adding: “Voters gave the cabinet and therefore the coalition a huge blow and that requires a real change of course with finding support for the big plans, such as nitrogen.”

Meanwhile, the leader of the CDA party — a member of the current governing coalition, Wopke Hoekstra said: “The Hague, including us, has insufficiently understood what is going on in our country. There’s a huge gap, we all have to care.”

The driving factor for the groundswell of support for the pro-farming party was opposition to the government’s plans to implement mandated cuts on the use of nitrogen fertilisers by as much as 70 per cent in some areas of the country by the end of the decade, with 92 per cent of BBB voters citing the policy as a motivating factor for their vote.

— Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) July 16, 2022

The elections, which also will determine the makeup of the provincial governments, could see the BBB take power in the very regions that the government is trying to impose its green agenda, potentially spelling more problems for the globalist governing coalition, which saw its total number of seats fall from 32 to 24. This puts the government’s ability to pass legislation in jeopardy, given that 38 votes are required in the senate to pass bills.

Polls found that over three-quarters of BBB voters believe that provincial governments should have the power to enact distinct policies from the national government, compared to 58 per cent among all voters.

The stunning loss for Rutte, who is the country’s longest-serving prime minister, may even throw his ability to retain power into doubt, with questions already being raised in Dutch media if he will step down and the possibility of Caroline van der Plas becoming the next prime minister. Prime Minister Rutte only has the confidence of less than a quarter has the confidence of less than a quarter of BBB voters, while enjoying just over a third of the confidence of the voting public as a whole.

Van der Plas, herself, questioned Rutte’s continued rule, asking: “How can you continue to govern if you have so little support?” While she said that she is not currently planning on making a move to become the next Dutch PM, she said she will think about it, coyly stating: “Yes, what if?”

— Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) March 3, 2023

Despite the trouncing in last night’s elections, the government’s minister for nature and nitrogen policy, Christianne van der Wal signaled on Thursday morning that the controversial nitrogen policy will continue to be on the agenda because the government believes it is mandated to push it through under EU law.

In response, the BBB leader Van der Plas said that her comments were “complete bullshit” and that “everything can change, if you want.”

The imposition of the anti-farmer green agenda by the EU has also recently sparked political chaos in Belgium, the seat of power for the bloc, with the Flemish coalition government facing a potential breakdown over similar attempts to restrict nitrogen fertilisers in the Dutch-speaking region of Flanders.

Belgium also saw mass tractor protests last month in a similar vein to the farmer protest movement that sprung up last summer in The Netherlands, which saw farmers enacting blockades of key infrastructure as well as blocking highways with burning bales of hay and piles of tyres to demonstrate their frustration over the government’s attack on their industry and way of life.

Even European Union Now Says It’s Time to Deport More Illegals

March 16, 2023 by Chris Tomlinson Leave a Comment

The European Union is calling on member states to do more to deport illegal immigrants and those without valid reasons for being in their countries, noting a low rate of deportations that are actually carried out.

European Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson highlighted the dismal number of deportations among European Union members saying, “Last year, we had a return rate of only 21% of those who are not eligible to stay.”

“When we fail to return people, this hampers our system and erodes trust,” she told media at the European Parliament in Strasbourg this week and added that of the 340,000 deportation decisions, just 60 per cent saw countries even contact the home country of the migrants, Ekathimerini reports.

— Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) December 31, 2022

“To protect the right to apply for asylum we have to show that we are appropriately dealing with those who do not qualify for international protection,” Johansson said.

Johansson’s comments follow prior calls from the European Union for member states to do more to push back on illegal immigration and increase deportations.

In January, Commissioner Johansson noted that in 2022, the European Union had seen the highest number of illegal arrivals since the height of the migrant crisis in 2016, saying “We are experiencing now an increase of irregular arrivals,” and added, “This puts the asylum systems and our procedures and our reception capacities under huge pressure.”

“Of course, those that are not eligible to stay in the European Union have to be returned to their country of origin,” she said.

EU member states have debated new measures to increase deportations, including proposals to restrict the number of visas granted to those countries that refuse to take back their nationals.

“Should intensified political and diplomatic efforts not produce the desired results, member states call on the Commission to come back to the Council with proposals on visa restrictions,” Swedish migration Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard said in January.
