George W. Bush Condemns 'Unjustified and Brutal Invasion of Iraq…I Mean of The Ukraine'

May 19, 2022 by Cameron Arcand Leave a Comment

Former President George W. Bush quickly went viral for accidentally referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine as Iraq, which was invaded by the United States in 2003.

“In contrast, Russian elections are rigged, political opponents are imprisoned or otherwise eliminated from participating in the electoral process,” he said in a speech for the George W. Bush Institute in Dallas, Texas.

“The result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia, and the decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq… I mean of the Ukraine,” he added.

He then appears to say under his breath “Iraq too, anyway,” which was met with chuckles from the audience.

The audience continued to laugh at the error as he said “75,” in a reference to his age.

Speaking in Dallas this afternoon, former President George. W Bush made a significant verbal slip-up while discussing the war in Ukraine.

He tried referencing what he described as the “wholly unjustified and brutal invasion” — but said Iraq, instead of Ukraine. pic.twitter.com/tw0VNJzKmE

Obviously, those who strongly disagree with the war took to Twitter to show how verklempt they were at Bush’s error. It’s important to keep in mind that the United States is a constitutional republic based on democratic values, and the congressional vote to approve the war in Iraq was 293 to 133.

“For the first time ever, George Bush is right: George Bush did in fact launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq,” the Gravel Institute said, which could be interpreted as trying to equate Bush with Putin.

“Took 20 years for George W. Bush to finally confess,” The Daily Beast columnist Wajahat Ali tweeted.

— Wajahat Ali (@WajahatAli) May 19, 2022

While people can flip out all day over his slip-up, imagine if there was this much energy directed to the comments that actually matter in 2022. Few people seemed to take up the issue with President Joe Biden’s “minor incursion” gaffe before Putin launched his military operation in Ukraine. Or when Biden said, “abort a child” following the Roe v. Wade draft opinion leak.

But for those who want to keep the conversation military-centric, Congressional Democrats also seem disinterested in holding the Biden administration accountable for the botched withdrawal of Afghanistan, which was only in August 2021.

The U.S. does need to reflect on the consequences of the Iraq War, that’s true, but thinking Bush’s gaffe is worth overanalyzing is a waste of time given the current state of affairs.

Report: CRT Symposium Speaker Calls Diversity of Thought 'White Supremacist' Excrement

May 18, 2022 by Alex Parker Leave a Comment

Is diversity of thought a product of white supremacy? It appears so, according to a college professor.

As reported by Campus Reform, academics gathered recently for a conference on Critical Race Theory. Organized by Critical Race Studies in Education Association (CRSEA) and hosted by Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, the symposium took place between May 31st and June 2nd.

CRSEA’s website describes its mission thusly:

[W]e are committed to (1) countering and combating systemic and structural racism with scholarship and praxis, (2) recognizing the multiple locations of oppression and the myriad manifestations and effects of their intersections and (3) co-constructing liberating knowledge that facilitates collective agency to transform schools and communities.

Amid the meet-up, instructors waxed on that most pernicious of all contemporary blights, whiteness.

According to a witness, per Campus Reform, a California college teacher whacked away:

“Whiteness has already been constructed against blackness. There is no virtue in whiteness, it is inherently violent,” one conference-goer tweeted, referencing a quote from Michael Dumas, a professor at the University of California, Berkeley who spoke at the event.

Continued:

“Whiteness and the United States knows itself through the violence and death of the subordinated,” another attendee quoted Dumas as saying, with one academic at the conference noting Dumas claimed that there “is no position of whiteness that isn’t already violent.”

CR quotes tweets by the professor along those lines, but they appear to have been deleted or marked private.

Dumas, notably, has expressed similar views in the past, tweeting that “whiteness” is “violent and delusional, delighting in Black death in every historical moment,” claiming at the recent conference that “there will never be anything close to justice in the U.S. because the system is built upon violence.”

The outlet relays another characterization by Indiana University-Purdue Professor James Scheurich, who purportedly asserted that “research” is a “colonial, white supremacist, elite process.”

Here’s more:

Professor Theodorea Berry suggested that “some people need to be slapped into wokeness.”

Berry explained to Campus Reform that the “notion of being ‘slapped into wokeness’ is one where an individual comes to gain [a] level of understanding about others’ oppression by experiencing oppression,” saying this is “especially true for those socially marginalized” people “who subscribe to respectability politics.”

“The proverbial ‘slap’ is the incident of marginalization,” she added. “The ‘wokeness’ is the realization that regardless of your privilege, marginalization can occur.”

One attendee, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Chicago, concluded her time at the conference by noting that she’s “happy” since she managed to collect “a few white tears.”

Perhaps the most notable quote from the conference came from University of Illinois at Chicago Professor David Stovall, who reportedly lambasted “diversity of opinion” as “white supremacist bull—-.”

He also allegedly announced, “White tears are an act of physical and political violence.”

It appears wokeness is the Windex working on whiteness, but can it be removed?

Schools are sure giving it a go:

White College Professor Fights the Lie — and ‘Disease’ — of Whiteness

Professor Prescribes ‘Reregulation’ to Help White People Stop Their Racist Violence

Professor Tells Audience We’re ‘Dying of Whiteness’

Disastrously, white supremacy seems to be all over:

What’s Behind Black-on-Asian Hate Crime? ‘White Supremacy,’ Claims Colorado Professor

Law Professor Denounces the Constitution’s ‘White Supremacy,’ Calls for an ‘Antiracist’ Replacement

Thankfully, some are fighting against it — and not just in academia.

MSNBC host Chuck Todd is doing his part. He’s standing against the white supremacy of “free speech”:

BLM Founder Tries to Explain Financial Mistakes Made With ‘White Guilt Money’

May 18, 2022 by Bob Hoge Leave a Comment

The nonprofit Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation has been beleaguered by criticism over its finances for years, and the heat only turned up this week as new tax filings reveal large payments to the co-founder’s friends and family, and huge real investment investments. RedState earlier brought you the story of a controversial $6 million Los Angeles mansion bought by the group in 2020.

She should have paid him for procreative services, not creative services https://t.co/K7pyPZk3fi

— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) May 18, 2022

The Associated Press reveals:

In a new, 63-page Form 990 shared exclusively with The Associated Press, the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation Inc. reports that it invested $32 million in stocks from the $90 million it received as donations amid racial justice protests in 2020. That investment is expected to become an endowment to ensure the foundation’s work continues in the future, organizers say. It ended its last fiscal year – from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 – with nearly $42 million in net assets. The foundation had an operating budget of about $4 million, according to a board member.

Eyebrows were certain to be raised with the revelations the foundation paid nearly $970,000 to a company founded by a man who fathered a child with BLM Co-Founder Patrisse Cullors, and that they also paid more than $840,000 to a security firm run by her brother. The foundation also provided more than $73,000 in private jet trips for Cullors, although she has since paid them back.

In all, the foundation spent more than $37 million in 2021 on grants, consultants, real estate ($12 million worth), and other expenses—yet still has $42 million left.

Co-Founder Patrisse Cullors resigned from the group in 2021 as the controversies picked up steam, but addressed the controversies Monday in an MSNBC podcast. Regarding the tsunami of donations the group received after the death of George Floyd, Cullors said:

Yes, it was a major shock. It was also a lot of like, ‘Oh, wait, I did not see that coming.’ You know, contrary to what, you know, has been reported, much of the funding that came in was from individual donors. That was a lot of White guilt money. There’s a lot of White folks being like, ‘We just got to put the money.’

She further explained that the group had no infrastructure to handle the massive influx, and now the mistakes are being “weaponized” against her.

The Associated Press though points out that there are real issues:

The tax filing suggests the organization is still finding its footing: It currently has no executive director or in-house staff. Nonprofit experts tell the AP that the BLM foundation seems to be operating like a scrappy organization with far fewer resources, although some say Black-led charities face unfair scrutiny in an overwhelmingly white and wealthy philanthropic landscape.

Where there is smoke, there’s usually fire. While the foundation may have been set up with good intentions, the constant revelations of questionable financing decisions must be making at least some donors wonder—where exactly did my money go?

WATCH: Congresswoman Claims There Are Two Sexes, Graduating Class Blasts Her With Boos

May 18, 2022 by Alex Parker Leave a Comment

The culture has rapidly changed, and that’s nowhere more evident than among college students.

Case in point: A commencement speaker was recently booed during an address at the University of Wyoming.

Republican congresswoman Cynthia Lummis was orating at the school’s graduation when she stepped into treacherous territory.

The state’s first female U.S. senator almost escaped unscathed…

But right at the end — amid a heralding of America — she went boldly biological:

“And lastly, you woke up this morning with more individual freedom in the most creative, divinely-inspired nation on Earth. The transformations and disruptions I have alluded to are testing those very freedoms. … [T]here are those in government who believe, not that the Creator endowed us with inalienable rights as the founders of our nation acknowledged in the Declaration of Independence, but that government created those rights. And that government should redefine those rights — including our rights to freedom of speech, religion, property, assembly, and to keep and bear arms. Even fundamental scientific truths — such as the existence of two sexes, male and female — are subject to challenge these days.”

As for being subject to challenge, the crowd confirmed her claim.

Boos rang loudly.

And then: more boos.

Following that: additional boos.

Cynthia attempted to save herself:

“You know, I, uh, and I challenge those of you — I’m not making a comment on the fact that there are people who transition between sexes.”

It was ugly, indeed.

Putting the crowd’s rejection behind, she pummeled the pandemic to a resurfacing of applause.

“I personally question how, under our Constitution, we could forbid in-person worship services during a pandemic while labeling liquor stores as essential and keeping them open (clapping recommences). And how the creation of a government disinformation board is not an affront to free speech. (mild handclaps are heard).”

As you’re surely aware, the sexual binary has substantially fallen out of favor:

Report: Three Middle Schoolers Have Been Charged With Sexual Harassment for Not Using ‘They/Them’ Pronouns

Back to Senator Cynthia, it seems her heckling reveals a change among young people in two ways.

For one, of course, past audiences would’ve agreed there are only males and females. But furthermore, contemporary adolescents have been taught to shout down dissent.

In the 1980s, for example, had a commencement speaker stated there were five sexes, students would likely have just looked at one another and shrugged. In fact, I’m not sure what comment from the podium could’ve possibly engendered boos amid past generations of twenty-somethings.

But these days, it’s an extra tough crowd.

Either way, as Texas Democratic State Representative James Talarico has made clear, the claim of five sexes would’ve been as wrong as Cynthia’s touting of two:

Elon Blasts Dems With the Truth, Predicts They Now Will Be Coming for Him

May 18, 2022 by Nick Arama Leave a Comment

On Tuesday, I reported how Elon Musk had given an interview to a tech podcast and said that he would be voting Republican, perhaps for the first time.

He also said that Twitter has a “very far-left bias” and that he viewed his effort to buy Twitter as a “moderate” take-over to stop that bias.

Elon Musk says he will vote Republican for FIRST time EVER after absolutely SAVAGING Joe Brandon in brutal roast pic.twitter.com/sxWybzsFDy

— Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) May 17, 2022

But he didn’t leave it there. He decided to go all-in and throw caution to the wind on Wednesday. Not only did he say that he confirm that yes he would be voting Republican, he ripped them as the party of “division and hate.”

In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party.

But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.

Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold … 🍿

“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party,” Musk explained. “But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold … 🍿”

That is right on target when it comes to the Democrats. But he knows saying that will bring consequences.

“Political attacks on me will escalate dramatically in coming months,” he warned, assessing what would be coming next. He predicted that the “dirty tricks attacks will be next-level.”

Political attacks on me will escalate dramatically in coming months

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 18, 2022

Pretty much. The dirty tricks attacks will be next-level.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 18, 2022

Musk may already be getting hit for his failure to row in line with the narrative — Tesla got booted from S&P 500 ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Index. The reasoning was in part because they had a “low carbon strategy.” Um, they make electric cars? What other strategy do they need? They also said there were “claims of racial discrimination and poor working conditions” at one of his Tesla facilities.

While Tesla was booted, Exxon was ranked in the top ten which shows you how much such a ranking truly means.

Exxon is rated top ten best in world for environment, social & governance (ESG) by S&P 500, while Tesla didn’t make the list!

ESG is a scam. It has been weaponized by phony social justice warriors.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 18, 2022

He delivered a great meme showing just exactly what such a ranking means.

Despite Tesla doing more for the environment than any company ever! pic.twitter.com/ImxrhnRepj

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 18, 2022

It seems he has a very good sense that they’re going to level both barrels at him now, without holding back. He’s already shown a willingness to stand in there and take them on, so let’s hope he can continue to stand up to them and completes his purchase of Twitter. They fear that loss of control and that’s why it’s so important that it happens. Hopefully, he can hang in there, because we can see it’s already having a positive effect, even perhaps with things like Jeff Bezos speaking out against Joe Biden. When one can challenge the power it weakens that power against all of us.
